Best of Las Vegas 2008 : Hotels : Best Singer

Reader Pick
CELINE DION
Caesars Palace, 3570 Las Vegas Blvd. South

Once more, you o-o-o-O-O-O-pen the door, and far across the distance, the singer now on a world tour will hear this fifth — and final? — nod for her years spent waking up to "A New Day." Tom Jones, who has decidedly not cut his ties to the Strip, is your second-favorite belter.

Staff Pick
LANI MISALUCHA
Flamingo Las Vegas, 3555 Las Vegas Blvd. South

"Nessun Dorma" in the middle of the Strip? It's just another weekday afternoon for Misalucha, the featured female singer among the sequined dude ranch that is the Society of Seven. But hurry, the big-voiced Filipina singer and the veteran Hawaiian show band are staying at the Flamingo only through April 13.

GARY HUTCHINSON wrote on April 03, 2008 04:21 AM: What an amazing show, and for 5 years! I managed to go see the show twice, and each time was like seeing a different concert. I think that Celine has made history with a 5 year reign in Las Vegas, and believe that many other artists would have struggled to achieve the success. She is an amazing performer. And for all the bad reviews that she recieved when it was announced that she was planning a 3 year concert in Las Vegas, I think she deserves the recognition that she is now receiving. And for the show to have been extended for another 2 years, that obviously shows that the demand for her in Vegas was higher than expected.
And to think that she has already started her 1 year Taking Chances world tour. Just goes to show how important her fans are to her and for those that were not able to make the Vegas show, she is touring again to give these people the opportunity to see her again, doing what she does best.

Well Done Celine.

See you in Manchester May 3rd and at the O2 in London on May 6th & 8th.

Love Gary London

Juland D. Salayo wrote on April 02, 2008 04:48 PM: Wow! This wonderful news makes me feel great of having Pinoy blood. Filipinos are really competitive in various aspects especially singing. And Lani Misalucha is one of a kind. She deserved not just the award but the respect as an international artist. Salute!
