GOODWILL
Multiple locations

Goodwill is another store you refuse to stray from. We imagine it’s the deep discounts that get you. Stroll into one of the stores on any given day and you’re sure to find eye-popping deals. Catch one of their weekly specials and you’ll walk out with a few carts full. Their dedication to employing disabled workers is just one more of the feel-good perks here. The Salvation Army is a distant second.

PLATO’S CLOSET
5165 S. Fort Apache Road

It opened last year and has had no trouble keeping the floor filled to the brim. Plato’s Closet, a franchise resale store, caters to teens, which means it’s no longer a faux pas to buy used clothing. In fact, prices are so appealing — a mere fraction of original cost — that parents prefer to head here before the malls. You can sell or trade clothes here. A few of the more popular brands include Ed Hardy, True Religion, Roxy and Abercrombie & Fitch.
