Idiots Of Our Time, Miss California: 'I Ate My First Hamburger In A Long Time!'
Hahaha. Miss California Sister Carrie Prejean, who lost the Miss USA pageant here in Las Vegas on Sunday because she's dumb, says God was testing her faith when He placed Perez Hilton along her Path to Glory — a path also lined by her swimsuit, fake-white teeth and boob glue. God works in mysterious ways.
But here's the money quote. She didn't cry after losing. No, instead, she finally, finally nourished her starving God bod, because you can't expect a girl to eat if she's reaching for a crown not of thorns:
"I ate my first hamburger in a long time!"

Doug, lay off this girl. Whether you think the law is right or wrong, her personal belief she gave mirrors the existing law in the state she represented in the pageant. She shouldn't be crucified for that.

Doug, you printed exactly what I was thinking. Her first sentence stated that she thought it was great that we lived in a country where people could choose same sex marriage or opposite sex marriage (only we're not in a country where people can choose that-only in certain states can you choose that) and then professed her prop h8 leanings. She should have stuck with the wishy washy answer that was her first sentence and maybe won or she should have thrown the competition in a grand gesture and flat out stated her real opinion for better or worse. At least if she had done the latter she'd have a real excuse as to why she lost the competition. She needs more carbs to fuel that tiny little brain.
Doug, it was clear that Ms. Prejean knew she was going to say something that was not popular or politically correct. Her brain was not so tiny that she did not comprehend the significance of what she was saying and to whom she was saying it. Ms. Prejean should be commended for her honesty and integrity, and not derided because she failed to prostrate herself before the altar of political correctness. The "tiny brain" parrots the politically correct. Doug, I am disappointed that, as a member of the press, you have so little regard for freedoms of speech and expression.

She stumbled over her answer, so to make up for it she tried to be honest. She may have been, but there is a price to pay sometimes for speaking out - such is life. She'll now be the face of the Young Republicans and Fox News, because if she really adhered to her beliefs she would not have been in a beauty pageant in the first place. Doesn't the Bible also note something about 'Judge not, lest ye be judged'? There seem to be a lot of people in this world who use the Bible when it is convienent for themselves to speak about others, but forget the important parts in relation to their own lives. Best of luck to those living in that narrow world.

Mr. Elfman, I am sorry that you have a lack of faith and do not believe that God tests our faith by putting non-believers in the paths of Christians. I will be praying for you as you insult someone for answering truthfully to a question that many people would hide from. I, too, can Google a Bible verse, Acts 8:34-36. It reads "who can separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."

Do you realize that Barack Obama doesn't believe in same sex marriages? How come he isn't being treated the same way she is being treated? You write an article for a dying newspaper in a dying town, who's the dummy?
Doug, you have time to choose what you are going to write, how you are going to write, make changes as well as proof it. When you are on the stage and don't know the question, you have to look prepared, poised and frame your answers accordingly. You get about 15 seconds without any retakes. I doubt you could handle it you gutless round mouth

Can you identify THEIR theses statements and support for their arguments? One of the women kept talking about how firmly she believed her belief...but she never told us what it was that she believed!

I can't believe so many people actually AGREE with this narrow-minded tiny-brained idiot Miss California. She's just as stupid as Miss California. Just because she stated her honest belief doesn't mean it has the backing of rational thought or morality. It's immoral to force the precepts of religion on a whole sector of society.
