I saw Carmen Electra topless — no pasties — at “MGM Grand’s Crazy Horse Paris” last night. A lot of us did. And it looks like she’ll be baring it all (up top) for the rest of her guest run there, two shows a night through Monday.
“In rehearsals,” she told Norm Clarke and me beforehand, “I started off wearing a full bra and full panties, with full stockings. And I like that look. But I felt in a way, if I stayed in that look for the whole show, it would cheat the audience a little bit. And yeah, I want everyone to have a good time.”
Going without pasties was easier and less nerve-racking than she thought: “I decided I wanted to go for it.” But she’s not planning to lose the undies: “Bottomless? No.”
As I’ve said for a long while, “Crazy Horse Paris” is one of the best shows in town, certainly the best of its topless kind. Carmen was great, truly. She has a serious dance background. It’s pretty impressive that she just jumped in, rehearsed for a week in a show whose ballet-background dancers usually take forever to get approved into the show, and to kick, gyrate and get on tippy toe on her made-for-her Christian Lobaton shoes so well in poses. Read her earlier interview with me. If you’re interested, tickets cost $75-$125.
Check these photos by Denise Truscello. The last pic is of Carmen and her man, guitarist Rob Patterson.
