‘Pearl Harbor’ Director Hugs Pageant Girls, Says Actors Would Be Dumb To Strike
Director Michael Bay was a surprise guest judge at Friday night’s Miss Hawaiian Tropic International pageant.

Bay was already headed to town, and a friend asked him to join him at the ogling table at the Golden Nugget, he said.
After the girls marched around a lot in their little swimwear, women flocked to him, maybe to see if he would cast them in the movie he’s filming three weeks from now, “Transformers 2.” Or maybe they think he’ll do sequels someday to “Armageddon,” “Pearl Harbor” or “Bad Boys II”?
I asked Bay if he was worried actors will strike in July. He said they’d be crazy if they did.
“It would be so stupid. Writers struck a long time, and they didn’t get a lot, if you do the math.”
By my math, there were 100 reasons for Bay to have checked out the 50 bikini contestants of the beauty contest.
