Gaughan crashes
About two hours after posting the fastest lap in the first Nationwide Series practice session Friday, Brendan crashed his No. 62 Rusty Wallace Racing Chevrolet in the second session.
Gaughan’s car sustained serious damage when he spun and slapped the outside guardwall. He was not injured.
The team either will repair the car or use a backup when qualifying begins at 9 a.m. Saturday for the Sam’s Town 300. That race starts at 1:30 p.m.
