Harry gives the R-J a ringing endorsement, except ...

Before he addressed the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce luncheon today our own Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid pressed the flesh in the “green room” with the chamber’s board members and provided a photo op with each.

One of the last to step forward was the Review-Journal’s director of advertising Bob Brown. As they shook hands, a dour Reid said, “I hope you go out of business.”

But he later realized what that would imply. While speaking to the entire chamber luncheon group he remarked on meeting Brown and said he wanted to let everyone know he wants the paper to do well and continue selling advertising, because the Sun, the daily Harry Reid newsletter, is delivered inside the R-J.

He went on to say that everything you read in the R-J is valid, except the polls. He must be stinging from the nationwide publicity he got from Sunday’s R-J story on our Mason-Dixon poll that showed every Republican in the state could beat him.

He questioned the accuracy of the poll and the sample size, and said, “I’m not quaking in my boots over polls.”

Thanks for the endorsement, Harry. Now, how about dropping by for an editorial board meeting to discuss health care reform and cap and trade? A little exposure to some libertarians might do you good. If you can eat jack rabbit stew, you can surely gnaw on a couple of sinewy editorialists.

Harry describes what he would like to do with the R-J editorial board.

Nice to see Harry temporarily in "Nevada Mode." Won't last long I'm sure...

I hope Harry "goes out of business" after the next election.

Let me get this right: Harry Reid makes an appearance at a LAS VEGAS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE meeting and says he hopes a local business GOES OUT OF BUSINESS?!?!?!?

This man is senile and needs to be sent back to Searchlight.

Harry Reid is a great statesman and leader, a true American. His life story is testament to how far you can go in this great country with a little ambition. Harry Reid is the best politician Nevada has had in 40 years.
