Beers joins Lowden's campaign for U.S. Senate
Republican U.S. Senate candidate Sue Lowden has enlisted former state Sen. Bob Beers in her challenge for the seat held by Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev.
Beers is listed as treasurer of Lowden's campaign committee in papers filed with the Federal Election Commission.
Beers, a Republican, served two terms in the Nevada Senate District 6 in Clark County and was known as a fiscal conservative.
