New headaches for Romney?

Mitt Romney may leave Nevada with a strong caucus victory, "but he might be developing new ulcers over the trendlines that are shaping his presumed matchup with Barack Obama in the fall," according to Michael Crowley on Time.com.

While Romney supporters contend the primary season is leaving their man more battle-tested, polls "show that he has become steadily less popular, and his unfavorability rating has shot up 20 points between late November and late January," Crowley notes.

At the same time President Barack Obama seems to be on the mend, buoyed by economic numbers that are encouraging, at least at this moment.

A lot can happen between now and November, Crowley points out.  "But although Mitt Romney will likely take another step towards the nomination in Nevada on Saturday, he may be wondering whether Barack Obama is still one step ahead of him."

Of course Obama is one step ahead of Romney....duh. Obama doesn't have any competition....yet. Once Romney is the nominee, watch out. Obama is a one-term president. American's have had enough of this incompetent and arrogant fool in the White House. Hurry up November 6th.

The Iran / Israel thing is really looking scary right now, and I don't have confidence that any republican candidate can manage this mess. In the middle east, the oil companies run the show. I think that all the repub's would take their own KY jelly to a meeting with the oil companies. I think BHO would at least make the oil companies provide that. Nobody would have a completely free hand because we DO need that oil. Obama doesn't appear on TV speeches to be up to this, but as president, his actions have worked so far when it comes to war. Yeah, he said he would not do a "surge," then he did. I want to think that he did different from what he campaigned on because of a changed situation or better info. This board is moderated, so I'll just say that both wars are *&%^ messes that we should not have been in. But we were in them when BHO was elected and I think he's done as well as anybody could have. I just don't see Mittster or the Newt doing any better. All I can see them do is cutting taxes for the 1% and chanting "trickle, trickle little star." The radical right whines "liberal press" but so far, they've let him off with one year of tax return, and that one showed the Swiss bank account and the one in the Caymans. I suspect that he got his business cleaned up in 2010 to get ready to run for pres, but I really think the earlier years would show a lot more money in tax-dodge accounts. I want to see more than 2010. Gustifer says BHO is inconsistent. I think that's only when it comes to repub's. He assumes all Americans want good things for the country, and has a hard time dealing with people who want the best for their party. It's hard to find that someone that HAVE to see everyday is trying to destroy you at any cost to anyone. Mitt: show me the money (where you got it and where you put it.)
