Reid calls on NRA leader for support
Talk about bringing out big guns.
Sen Harry Reid, D-Nev., got National Rifle Association leader Wayne LaPierre to speak about Reid's support for gun rights.
Reid is in dire straits, electorally speaking, and needs all the help he can get lining up votes on the conservative side of the spectrum.
"He is a true champion of the Second Amendment back in Washington, DC," LaPierre said of Reid at a dedication for a new shooting range.
Said Reid, while wielding an antique .22 rifle from his childhood, "These weapons become our friends. This weapon is my friend."
Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev., also spoke. He told a story of a traumatic childhood shooting incident to reinforce the importance of gun safety education.

Looks like LaPierre is a sell-out to the Conservative Ascendancy. NRA members should do everything necessary to ensure his resignation.

This is a travesty! Win the battle, lose the war. The NRA has no business endorsing a parasitic totalitarian like Harry Reid!
Why does the NRA support Harry Reid? If you are a NRA member you should contact them and let them know this is not acceptable. If you call them (1-800-392-8683), they have a menu and it will lead you to menu #1. They will say they have not announced support for any candidate but they will go on and tell you they are not interested in any of you other constitutional right except for the 2nd amendment. How long do this people think our second amendment is safe if the other amendments are weakened?
The NRA is just like the AARP in selling out their membership.
