Palin on her way to help Angle

I never doubted Sarah Palin would support Sharron Angle in a big way in her bid to upset Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. Now comes word from The Daily Caller that the Palin cavalry is on the horizon. You can read the report here.

Will Palin's active involvement in support of Angle help her?

You bet.

It's the X-factor that the Reid camp most dreads. Despite spending millions to throw everything but the kitchen sink at Angle thus far, the Reid campaign can't open any kind of substantial lead. That's a bad sign for Sen. Reid, who has long maintained a big disconnect with most Nevada voters. According to the last Review-Journal poll, Angle has closed the gap to come within 2 points of Reid.

So, as summer breaks into fall, the Angle/Reid race shapes up to have President Barack Obama in Reid's corner and Sarah Palin in Angle's corner.

In the political parlor game of who helps who the most, it's not even close. One Sarah Palin equals three Barack Obamas when it comes to energizing and connecting with the Nevada voters.

I wonder if Sarah Palin shares Sharron Angle's belief that black football uniforms are Satanic.

Yeah, right. Sarah Palin is such an intellectual giant. She can come here with her shirt sleeves rolled up....so she can write her speech notes on her arm (how hillbilly).

Her winking, "you betcha" persona, is quite trite.

She can't even raise her kids or govern Alaska properly (do I hear quitter?), yet the Republican Journal touts that Sarah Palin equals three Barack Obamas. What logic is that based? The three fifths clause (slaves were counted as three fifths a person)???

Sarah Palin is a reprehensible person who has made herself rich on the hard earned money of working Americans, by telling lies and spreading propaganda.

It's no wonder Mr. Frederick is such a big fan.

I see Mr. Ralston was noted in a NYT piece again today. No mention of the "other" paper. Perhaps because it's publisher has no understanding of the issues, yet squawks as if he does. For example : Palin not only cost Republicans the White House, and not only quit her job as Governor to rape the wallets of middle clas Americans, 2 of the candidates she recently endorsed were soundly beaten. That 0 for 2 on primary night. Based on this, Sherman concludes Palin will be a big help to Angle. Of course, being that Angle openly considers the RJ a "friend" that will "ask the questions we want to answer", is it any wonder?

Welcome to Nevada Sarah Palin! Please visit often, and speak as much as possible.

It amuses me when people like Sherman Frederick present Sarah Palin as some type of threat. Source of amusement and ridicule, yes, but about as threatening as a cow. A cow with lip stick?

For monetary benefit, she has made a Faustian pack with the Devil. That is to be admired by Sherman Frederick and conservatives. I guess Sherman Frederick never read the scripture you can not worship both God and mammon...you can't serve two masters, Sherman.

Hey, Sherman, since you have such grand respect for her, how about listing just ONE accomplishment of hers?

Just one.

Sherman's recent attacks on Jon Ralston are not very Christian.

Sherman needs to re-read Matthew 5:44: "But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you" - Jesus of Nazareth, as recorded in (NIV translation) ...

We know from his example about how he feels about charity for the less fortunate.

...uh...Sherman...Sharron (sic) Angle has not closed the gap with Senator Reid...as you know, she started off ahead of Senator Reid in the polls.

It is Senator Reid who has overcome Sharron (sic) Angle's lead in the polls.

Am I wrong?
Written by: Diogenes of Sinope on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010 at 9:51 AM -- Report abuse
You are. First poll after the primary had Reid up by outside the margin. Last poll had her in a statistical tie.

It's amazing the reaction she receives - love her or hate her, all the comments here show the truth - She is a threat, or why would there be so many personal attacks about her - That is the first reaction of threatened people, minimize the threat. Ha! you kids are funny...

I for one am counting on the people of Nevada to put party aside and change Harry Reid Out!! Twenty-four years in Washington is part of the problem not the solution. Speaking of Palin---This is a woman who was a city council member of her town, then mayor, then Gov of the largest state in the union with an approval rating of 78%. She oversaw the largest private-sector energy project in North American history—that would be the Alaska gas line legislation. (AGIA) She put the state checkbook on line so Alaskans could see where the state money was going, cut 85% of pork spending by starting a “when hell freezes over” file. Dismissed the governors cook, sold the governors plane, got rid of the governors vehicle and security detail to save money –all in 2 ½ years in office –while raising five kids! She had two bestselling books before they even hit the shelves and hit the two million facebook fans plus twitter fans. Gallup has the two most popular women as Clinton 16% and Palin at 15%. Clinton was the first female running for president and Palin the first female running for VP on the GOP ticket! Anytime you’d like--- I’d be interested in hearing your accomplishments???

Yeah, right. She was such a threat in 2008 that she lost the election to an Obama landslide.

Mr. Frederick, I am still waiting for you to list Sarah Palish's accomplishments. For that matter, why don't you list Sharron (sic) Angle's accomplishments?

Silence.

Does quitting a job count as an accomplishment?

"Yeah, right. She was such a threat in 2008 that she lost the election to an Obama landslide."

I didn't realize how good a candidate McCain was that Palin caused the landslide. Obviously Palin was much, much worse a candidate than Biden. Heck, he make us laugh.

I suggest you true believers buy your supply of soul-consoling booze early before the rest of us rush to the store in November for the champagne.

Whoopy!mama griz comes to the rescue! Wonder if her plane will get close enough for her to see the border, in order for her to solve the immigration problem? She seemed to think seeing the Russian coast qualified her to be vice president. What is the most frightening? -Palin herself? or the people who think she is qualified for anything are allowed to vote in America?

I think it would be more accurate to say she is going to help Reid.

Palin is nose-diving in popularity as people see her for the know-nothing that she is.

I think the last straw was her attitude towards that teacher in Alaska.

Palin is a finished, she just can't see it yet and helping to destroy Angle will be her final act.

Sorry, Sherm, I checked into the poll numbers and you are incorrect.

Poll: Sharron Angle Leads Harry Reid to Open Nevada Senate Race:

http://politics.usnews.com/opinion/blogs/peter-roff/2010/06/10/Poll-Sharron-Angle-Leads-Harry-Reid-to-Open-Nevada-Senate-Race.html

A Rasmussen poll released after the primary election showed an 11-point bounce in her numbers coming off her victory in the primary, meaning she began the race with a 50 percent to 39 percent lead over Reid.

So it WAS Senator Reid who came from behind to pass Sharron (sic) Angle...

Interesting article in the valley's real newspaper, 'The Sun' today about the RJ's shakedown practices.

It says:

"University of North Dakota law professor Eric E. Johnson writes at his Blog Law Blog that Righthaven's "shoot-first/shoot-everybody/shoot-often style of copyright enforcement is chilling bloggers out of their fair use rights.""

And...

"I think what the Las Vegas Review-Journal and its thugster stooge Righthaven are doing is completely obnoxious. It reeks. It also makes the Las Vegas Review-Journal look like a pack of feral alley dwellers instead of an earnest news organization that is deserving of the public trust.

"Filing federal lawsuits against frightened individual bloggers who are without significant legal or financial resources, and doing so without any attempt whatsoever to resolve the dispute informally, is deplorable behavior. That would apply to anyone. But for a newspaper to do it is abhorrent," Johnson wrote."

Nice work, Mr. Frederieck.

Sherm it's not the Griz I'm worried about it's the Karl. The "fiscal conservative's" re-invented deficit spending under Regan and Bush AND reinvented "dirty" politics under Atwater and Rove. I fully expect we will hear from Karl next month-when he will disclose to Nevada, that he has new information that Reid has fathered a commie Marxist Muslim terrorist anchor baby.

Where is Mitt Romney, the alleged leader of the GOP ?

When is Romney ever crawl out of his turtle shell to fight for the Republican just for once in his life instead of sneaking around raising money for his own campaign and making anonymous attacks on fellow Republicans.

Romney is Money and Money is Romney.

The U.S. Senate race in Nevada remains very close.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in the state shows Democratic Senator Harry Reid and his Republican challenger Sharron Angle tied with 47% of the vote each. Five percent (5%) prefer some other candidate, and two percent (2%) are Two weeks ago, Reid held a two-point advantage over Angle.
All this after an 11 million dollar pummeling. Reid has a lot of Union money left, so it will not stop. But as people are considering the source, her numbers are climbing. Bye Harry!
