'Global Warming' out; 'Global Climate Disruption' in

Just when you thought the Obama Administration couldn't get any more shallow, now comes a name change for "global warming". From now on, it will henceforth be referred to as "Global Climate Disruption".

Brother, does it get any more transparent than that. When you can't make the facts fit the political religion of "global warming", you just change the name.

According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the first eight months of 2010 were, on a global basis, the hottest ever recorded.

Well Global CO2 Shift just isn't that sexy Sherm.

As we see more energy enter into the global climate due to an increase in carbon dioxide, methane, and water vapor, weather is going to get uglier. China and India on just on the cusp of burning more oil/coal/carbon than the U.S. did in the last century. It's ugly now and it is going to get unbelievably worse.

You just laugh along in your ignorance though.

I have a feeling if Sharron Angle wanted to change the name, you guys would call her a crazy cat woman for the idea.

If you shine a flashlight into Sharron Angle's ear, the phrase "Crazy Cat Lady" shows on the wall across from her.

Listen, Sherm. Øbama, the Tides Foundation, Algore, Soros, even Fannie and Freddie have a lot of money invested in the Chicago Climate Exchange, and stand to lose billion$ (even trillion$) if they can't get the legislation to enforce carbon credit swaps.

Did you hear about the great Tulip bubble in Amsterdam, or Denmark or where ever, back in the 1600s? Well, this is bigger and the boys need all of us to play along so they can get Rockefeller rich. So put your common sense on ice, and just play ball.... or else.

OK?

Just when you thought the Obama Administration couldn't get any more shallow ….

Obama is shallow? Obama? For a newspaperman, (supposedly) you're certainly behind the times. It was changed from global warming to climate change long time ago. And it was changed because of people like you that didn't understand what it meant.

Here's one little example: Global warming is melting the arctic ice cap. This will change the Atlantic Current and all of Europe will experience colder weather. That means 'climate change.' So you see who's really shallow here, Sherman?

Oh, and fix your cheap blog editor. I tried six time to post in your, "Pet Raccoon" bolg and it won't accept:"My 'pet' saying was when George Bush said Jesus Christ was his favorite philosopher."

Newly-released data from the National Snow and Ice Data Center show that arctic sea ice levels are the thinnest they have ever been.

Name changes and repackaging are used keep the product seemingly more fresh to boost sales/revenue. Everyone, hurry and get some more carbon credits!

The "new and improved" global climate scam continues...I guess Al Gore needs more money to pay Tipper's alimony.

And the AGWers just won't give up...too much dough on the table. The evil CO2 is taking over! The sky is falling!

I'm surprised MarkyMark hasn't showed up here yet. And whatever happened to patrick? I spent last winter and spring debating AGW with him here.

Of course, patrick's replacements here are just downright antagonistic, insulting Sherm from the get-go. Anyway, I'm in a good mood today, so I'm just gonna leave you AGWers with this:

climatedepot.com

I know you guys won't go there, but for those who haven't actually studied the whole AGW schtick, there it is.

Meanwhile, since MarkyMark hasn't shown up here yet, I'll do him a favor and present his usual standard link that he uses to "prove" AGW:

realclimate.org

So, ya'll have a good weekend!

Jerry, would that all politicians held Jorge Bush's view on favorite philosopher. Our unalienable rights come from our Creator.

And our Creator's name ain't Øbama. (or Alinsky)

I wonder, if man wasn't around to name this climatological phenomenon, would it even matter? Why doesn't this administration concern itself with the things that can be fixed, although, it hasn't shown it's even capable of doing that.

I've sometimes wondered if patrick = MarkyMark = Steven = Nyp = Jerry = Scout. Of course, I've also suspected they all work at Langley or Ft. Meade. Maybe Sherm could check their IP addresses.

Of course, maybe I work for some government agency. Hmmmm, I might make a good govbot. Sieg heil, baby!

While other leading nations are working on what to do about global warming; we still have the Birthers and flat earth folks denying that global warming even exists. Is it any wonder other nations laugh at us?

They may laugh at us, but I spend a considerable amount of time laughing at winston.smith. Jokes are funny.

They laugh, and then complain when we don't send them their billions in foreign aid. Or maybe that's what they're laughing at.

Um does it really matter what we call it? If its happening or not does it really hurt to turn to other renewable forms of energy? It creates jobs to build solarpanels and wind turbines and we wouldn't be buying oil from countries that either publicly hate or simply like our money. Cut out the ones making the pointless 'going green' money and remove the political polerization

I have a serious question for the "truthers". Just what, praytell, is the optimal global median average? And have we surpassed it, or do we have yet to achieve it?

Interested in all sides...thanks.
Written by: Mickel on Saturday, Sep. 18, 2010 at 9:14 PM -- Report abuse
Mickel,
There is no such thing as a "truther" when it comes to the science of global climate disruption but there are facts and understanding. On the other side, apparently the one you are on, there is ignorance and obtuseness. For the record, your question is meaningless but if you want to educate yourself on the science click on the start here option at the top of this page: http://www.realclimate.org or spend some months here: http://www.ipcc.ch

Ignorant, meaningless, obtuse. Three very negative adjectives just for asking a question. Obviously ma'am, you are exceeding your daily level of moron as you do not understand the question.

If global "warming" is to be true, then there must be a benchmark from which to apply the metrix; hence the question. Since you confess to know nothing, you are hereby disqualified from the discussion. Noted.

Next.

What is the optimal global median average? Have we reached it? When and why?

Ms. Mickel,
I have pointed you to sources that are complete, accurate, and expert in the knowledge presented. This, if you bother to spend the considerable time needed, would show why your question is meaningless. But you won't do the work as you are a troll.

Ms. chaffer - too late, you've already taken yourself out of the serious debate by relying on 'fantastic' reports of fellow drinkers of your particular brand of kool-aid.

I already know the answer to the question I'm asking - My purpose is illumination for those who seek it. Since you don't - and don't care...kindly go back to playing solitaire in your cubicle.

Shh...big people are talking now...
Written by: Mickel on Monday, Sep. 20, 2010 at 12:25 PM -- Report abuse
The short answer to your obtuse question is that there is no such thing as an optimum temperature but there is a range of temperatures within which humans can thrive. We are, by burning fossil fuels and releasing the byproducts into our common atmosphere, in danger of exceeding that range and causing catastrophic problems. Now Mickel, why don't you show us what you know and how you know it and what expertise you claim to have.
