Obama will be a one-term president

But, hey, don't take my word for it. Take it from Barack Obama himself when he said: "If I don't have this done in three years, then there's going to be a one-term proposition."

Well, it's been three years and Obama's failure is abundantly clear. You'd think the president would just step down and let someone new take over. But as with all self-indulgent politicians, they just don't step down. The people have to send them packing.

With Roseanne running, all you left liberal extremists (you know who you are) will race to vote Green!

This will take a bunch of votes away from Obama as Roseanne makes him look downright conservative, almost libertarian even. Roseanne is a true liberal! Vote Roseanne! You liberals deserve a real choice since Obama has not lived up to all the things he promised 4 years ago during the hope and change campaign.
The Green ticket will be Obama's downfall!

Wonder if she will get more money than Colbert.....

Obama worse than Hitler?.......Hitler was one of the three worst evils of the 20th Century, surpassed only by those heroes of the Internatioanl Left, Stalin and Mao. Hitler killed 12MM in the Holocaust (6MM Jews and 6MM politically incorrect), and another 30MM in WW2. Stalin killed 30MM of his own people in the purges and forced Ukraine famine, and another 20MM fighting his former ally, Hitler. Mao killed 80MM of his people.
…but NONE of these men so ably and quickly began to destroy America as has Barack Obama - the greatest enemy America has ever faced. And one our military seems unwilling an uninterested in fighting - turning their collective back on the ONLY Constitutional duty they have - protecting our Constitution.
It is time - past time, really - to realize that Obama / Pelosi / Reid / Rangle / Schumer / Dodd / Frank… are greater enemies of America, our Constitution, the Rule of Law and to our future than were Hitler or Imperial Japan…
Go RON PAUL!!!!

This is a good example though of how even the good politicans, like this president, when it comes down to it are just human beings, just like the rest of us and just as prone to making human mistakes. And yes, President Obama saying he would be a 'one-term president if the economy doesn't improve' was a mistake.

But I just don't think Mitt Romney can beat President Obama. For a lot of reasons, but the big reason is Mitt Romney is just not a very good politician. And then you throw-in his extremely conservative proposals and his habit of being the king of flip-floppers and, well, just imagine what a great politician who is also a great orator is going to do with one Mitt Romney?

So good luck conservatives with Mitt Romney, but on the bright side this will be good experience, again, for Mitt in 2016.

“The United States economy gained momentum in January, adding 243,000 jobs, the second straight month of better-than-expected gains….As measured by both the unemployment rate and the number of jobless — which fell to 12.7 million — it was the strongest signal yet that an economic recovery was spreading to the jobs market. …The private sector remained the engine of new job gains. While state and local governments continued to lay off workers, private-sector employers added 257,000 payroll jobs in January.”

For those citing lower unemployment and other "improvements," read what Phil Gram and Mike Solon wrote in the WSJ Thursday:

"Commerce Department data released last Friday show that four years after the recession began, real gross domestic product per person is down $1,112, while 5.8 million fewer Americans are working than when the recession started.

"Never before in postwar America has either real per capita GDP or employment still been lower four years after a recession began. If in this "recovery" our economy had grown and generated jobs at the average rate achieved following the 10 previous postwar recessions, GDP per person would be $4,528 higher and 13.7 million more Americans would be working today."

Like FDR, Obama's policies are prolonging the recession.

LasVegasLibertarian..you really need a shrink. To compare Obama to Hitler is simply a sign of insanity.

The unemployment rate is shrinking. Obama is a giant compared to the Republicans running. The American people will re-elect him in a landslide that will sweep the House of the Tea Party trash. Its all coming together and its beautiful.

Unemployment report this morning at 8.3%. Stock market up, with potential for a big break to the upside, Iraq war over and Afghanistan shutting down in a year.

I don't know what opposite land you and Cowboy hat live in, but here in the US, things are getting better fast.

Jack: Whiners tend to whine louder and more shrilly when they are cornered, and the more cornered they get, the more shrilly they whine.

After the president is re-elected, and the Democratic Party closes the gap in the House, expect more whining and of a higher tone.

And so it goes.

Let's read a little Mark Steyn, shall we? "“In the last 22 months,” said the president, “businesses have created more than three million jobs.” Impressive. But 125,000 new foreign workers arrive every month (officially). So we would have to have created 2,750,000 jobs in that period just to stand still."

So the question is, if Ø is focusing "like a laser" on the jobs problem, why are we allowing ANY legal immigration into the US?

NO ONE has refuted my claim of 50,000 new jobs TOMORROW if you were to ENFORCE e-verify, and fine ALL employers $50,000 for each illegal hire in our casinos.

No one on this blog, and no one in our government.

What's up with that, Ø-peeps?

He says that Obama statement is a reminder and Sherman's statement is a prediction.

Obama's statement is the prediction. Obama states: "If I don't have this done in three years, then there's going to be a one-term proposition." See...prof history hack....the condition and then boom....the result.

Sherman's statement is more like a plea. He pleas for both Obama and the people to do the right thing.

See....it is not that hard. Just take a deep breath. Read every word. Slow down. Practice. You get it right one day.

Why the 3 million jobs in 24 months are a drop in the bucket?

In 1990 and 1991 some 8 million people were born USA.

3 million jobs in 24 months will not keep up population growth and that is why it is a drop in bucket when dealing with unemployment rate.

Unfortunately it seems like far too many on the far, far, far right wing have spent their entire lives getting it "right" and not a moment getting it correct.

Also to show why the 3 million jobs in 24 months is a silly number.

Over 1.2 million people abandoned looking for jobs last month and that is another reason why the unemployment rate went down.

thomas.mitchell, let's suppose former presidential candidate, and economist, Phil Gramm is correct on his numbers. Just supposing but you then said this president is 'prolonging the recession?' How, specifically?
Written by: Yeager on Friday, Feb. 03, 2012 at 8:20 PM -- Report abuse
And the real truth is thomas.mitchell, President Obama has not had a chance to even get his economic agenda passed by this Congress, to the point that he unfortunately allowed the Bush tax cuts to continue, but THAT is the reason real people making ordinary incomes have seen their wages cut and their pensions being attacked by 'private equity companies,' also known as corporate raiders, stealing their pensions and forcing the federal government to bail-out these pension funds, while the workers get screwed. Companies like Mitt Romney's company, Bain Capital.

Allow the Bush tax cuts to expire, please! Go back to the Clinton tax rates of the 90's, with some adjustments, which would really be part of President Obama's agenda, and then we will judge him in four years.

Even Sherman and thomas.mitchell would have to admit, GAINING 244,000 jobs last month is one helluvu lot better than LOSING 750,000 jobs a month, which is the economy President Obama inherited under George W Bush? You will give me that one, right?
Written by: Yeager on Friday, Feb. 03, 2012 at 8:33 PM -- Report abuse

To set the record straight, Plouffe-boy, Ø HAS his economic plan in place. AND he DID have a rubber stamp, Democrat SUPER majority for 2 years!

Obama and the Democrats for entire year had full control of the WH, Senate and House and they passed ObamaCrap and some lame "stimulus" bill of which Obama's WH stated would bring unemployment to under 6% by now.

Unemployment is Nevada over 12% and nationally over 8%.

Obama stated if he did not get the job done by now that he should be a one term president.

I totally agree with Obama on that point.

It is time to fire Obama.

It is time for Romney.

Obama is scary.....Romney will do just fine.

As for Bain Capital...most of what you stated is tinted from kool-aid silliness.....as for Obama I reject his Crony Capitalism where he gave billions in taxpayer money to his campaign donor friends just to see them waste the money.....RAID PENSION FUNDS (in a kool-aid twisted logically way of viewing things) and leave companies bankruptcy and put people out of work.

Obama needs to be fired.

Romney is the man.
Written by: SgtRock on Saturday, Feb. 04, 2012 at 8:56 PM -- Report abuse
So Romney wins Nevada, congratulations and according the the media, Newt doesn't even have a chance to win another state until March.

So just as Democrats have predicted for about a year now, it's Mitt Romney. Good choice for Republicans, he does have the best chance against President Obama and he will be a formidable candidate.

But man, he does have this issue about flip-flopping. And then there's this thing about this private equity firm he owned which basically borrowed huges amounts of money to buy a particular company, any company. Then, because they now owned this company, all of the debt Mitt's company acquired to buy this company now become the comapany's debt. LOL, see how the private equity business works?

Amd then, of course, what Mitt's firm does then is force this company to lay off all of their workers, because of course they now have all of this debt, and just to really show everyone how unregulated capitalism in America really works, they then did not fund these same worker's, who they just forced to become unemployed, pension funds. And the federal government had to make up part of the difference, although the pension funds were not fully funded.

It's all there, just Google 'Reuters' and 'Bain Capital.' This is how Mitt Romney 'created a net of 100,000 jobs,' like he claims. Bain Capital's objective was not to create jobs. Is was to make money. Mitt would have been better-off just saying that.
Written by: Yeager on Saturday, Feb. 04, 2012 at 9:10 PM -- Report abuse
for all you Tea Party types, here is what Romney actually wrote in December 2008 about supporting both the stimulus and the printing of more money by the Fed:
""So this is surely the time for economic stimulus. Nor should we forget that fiscal stimulus is but one part of the solution. As Christina Romer, Barack Obama’s designee as chairperson of the Council of Economic Advisors concluded from her study of the Great Depression, bad monetary policy was its greatest cause and good monetary policy was its most effective cure. The Fed should continue to expand the money supply. And, it should confirm that it will not tolerate deflation — the pain of inflation pales in comparison. That being said, a stimulus plan is needed without further delay."

Good to know that things won't really change under a Romney administration!

Let's follow that line of logic.

According to PeteNYC's advice, if a candidate strays one inch from one's own beliefs then one should not support that candidate.

A) I guess PeteNYC will not support Obama
B) That logic is dumb for there is not a candidate on the planet that one would agree with 100% of the time
C) It would be dumb to abandoned a candidate that is much closer to one's belief system then accept a scary candidate like Obama to continue to be president.

I am sure for everything that you can point about Romney that some Conservative might not totally like I can point out 10 things that Obama does that liberals don't like.

For example, Obama order the murder of a US citizen without any due process like a trial much less a military tribunal.

We heard you libs whine for some 7+ years about Bush war criminal actions and if Bush did this you guys would be in streets demanding impeachment.

Here is another example. Obama made a deal with Big Pharm. They got from Obama and the Democrats to prevent Medicare from negotigating prices and also Obama and the Dems promised not to allow the importing of drugs. In exchange Big Pharm agreed to support ObamaCrap and to donote millions to Democrats and to run ads in support of Democrats.

I guess now Democrats will run a 3rd party candidate because I dont' know how in the heck you can vote for Obama because of those two items.

Sgt. Rock: I am very grateful to Mitt Romney for enacting a stringent assault weapons ban.
"'Assault weapons have no place in Massachusetts,' Romney said. 'These guns are not made for recreation or self-defense. They are instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people.'Like the federal assault weapons ban, the state ban, put in place in 1998, was scheduled to expire in September. The new law ensures these deadly weapons, including AK-47s, UZIs and Mac-10 rifles, are permanently prohibited in Massachusetts no matter what happens on the federal level."

Thanks, Mitt!

Obama has done a lot that libs are extremely happy about and are thrilled to support him again.

He still personally against gay marriage.

He still believes states have the right to ban gay marriages.

He orders the murder of bad guys who are living in allied countries and he does that without any due process.

He reserves the right to hold the bad guys indefinitely without a trial or even a military tribunal.

He has not closed Gitmo.

He cut deals with big pharm so they are protected from the importing of drugs nor do they have to negogiate with Medicare.

He did not allowed the morning after pill to a over-a-counter drug.

He extended twice the Bush tax cuts to the Rich.

He continue for many years the Bush plan for Iraq.

He double-down with troops in Afghanistan.

He has done nothing about guns in USA.

Even though Dems had full control of the House and Senate all they could pass was ObamaCrap and not Medicare or Single payer for everyone.

Even though Dems had full control of the House and Senate all they could pass was a dumb-down "stimulus" plan that had a small amount of dollars for infrastructure spending.

There is lots more that libs are soooooo excited about Obama.

They are jumping for joy.
