I have more Facebook 'friends' than you

The Sharron Angle campaign is letting people know that they now have surpassed Harry Reid in Facebook friends.

What's the wisdom of the blogosphere hive? Is that a big deal?

Only if you can turn it into $ and votes. The two things politicians crave.

As Senate GOP blocks unemployment extension, Angle doubles down on claim she won't fight for NV jobs http://bit.ly/d0EhR2

Where is Sherman's repeated complaint that Harry Reid isn't bringing money and jobs to Nevada? Is it missing because his Republicans in Washington just blocked more jobs and money for Nevada? Nevada's Senator John Ensign voted against bringing more money and jobs to Nevada. Sharron Angle says it wouldn't be her place to bring jobs to Nevada.

Oh, but Sharron has Face Book Friends. That's what's important, huh Sherman?

Liar = Jerry Sturdivant. It's NOT a jobs bill. It's more unemployment to keep the slaves existing on the plantation.

Harry Reid fighting for jobs??? YES HE IS!!! Just not for American citizens. He much prefers using our tax money to pay illegal workers. Don't believe it??

In Feb. 2009, the House passed (407 to 2!!) an amendment that required all of the $800 billion of federal stimulus money (i. e. American taxpayers' hard-earned dollars) to be spent on contracts with companies that use
E-verify, to ensure that all those $$$$ would go to American citizens.

What did the Majority Leader of the Senate do? He ignored the wishes of the American people, as expressed through their elected representatives by an overwhelming 407 to 2 vote, and BLOCKED all attempts to have a vote on a similar amendment (SA 239) in the Senate.

Result: an estimated 300,000 illegal workers got construction jobs instead of American citizens.

You can thank Harry Reid in November by remembering these numbers: 407 to 2.

Meanwhile, Angle says her job as a U.S. Senator will be to create a more business-friendly economic environment - less taxes and unnecessary regulations for the entire country - as the Senate makes laws for the NATION, not just for Nevada. Everyone knows that we are a FEDERAL REPUBLIC, right??

This allows the Lt. Governor to do his specified job - lure businesses to NV - it's in the job description!!

"Liar = Jerry Sturdivant. It's NOT a jobs bill. It's more unemployment to keep the slaves existing on the plantation."

Gee, another AsHos name-calling dodge. Why am I not surprised? The bill the Republicans filibustered would have brought more money and jobs to Nevada during these difficult times. They very thing Sherman chastised Senator Reid for. But the Republicans continue trying to have our president, our country and our state fail.

Biden said that Obama will be focused on a 3 letter word, "Jobs, Jobs, Jobs"

I hope that actually that Obama will focused on a 4 letter word, "Jobs, Jobs, Jobs" and it will be private jobs and not debt generating government jobs that our children will have to pay off.

Jerry Sturdivant, oh omnipotent one, name me 3 'stimulus' projects that have created a private sector job in Las Vegas or Henderson, that came from your all important 'Stimulus Bill'.

What I hear, is the unions are being paid off, and the schools, and the government. But I'm sure you can prove me wrong.

Spending money in our economy saves and creates jobs; that is what the stimulus bill has been doing. The fact that it's working is what has the Republicans upset. They use, "Increasing the national debt" and a dodge; even though this is excitably what the economists said was needed. And it was. It's working.

The question is: Why were the Republicans not concerned about increasing the national debt (about $4 trillion) when THEY were in office and deficit spending was NOT necessary?

Of course, this is the question they won't answer; they'll simply attack the messenger that showed them their hypocrisy. Watch….

I didn't think you could answer, because the 'Stimulus Bill' was (and is) nothing more than a slush fund to pay off unions, and increase our dependence on government ("Oh, saaaave me, big government overlord! I just can't do it myself!")

And we're back to blaming Bush and the Republicans. If you had one scintilla of intellectual honesty, you'd admit that the spike in deficit spending corresponds directly to the Pelosi/Reid controlled Congress of 2007.

Regardless, since Dr. Utopia came on board, January 20, 2009; to the present, our national debt has gone from $10.6 Trillion to $13 Trillion.

Pelosi/Reid? Debt 1/30/2007 was $8.7 Trillion. There's your $4+ Trillion addition. Discuss that with your fellow libtards.

The question WAS: Why were the Republicans not concerned about increasing the national debt (about $4 trillion) when THEY were in office and deficit spending was NOT necessary?

"Waa! Waa! I want to try blaming that on the last session of Bush's congress where the Democrats barely had a majority, but were still unable get around Bush's veto; the Republicans filibusters; and the fact the Republicans gave away a trillion dollar Pill Bill to the pharmaceuticals and increased the national debt by $4 trillion by GOING OFF BUDGET."

Today's budget increases are the direct results of 8-years of the Republicans deregulating; unbudgeting and refusing investigations. President Obama's administration is actually listening to the leading economists and increasing the budget with the stimulus package that's saving our country's economy. By the way, it also contains the tax increases (and cancels the 'tax cuts for the rich') that will begin paying back that national debt.

And the thread of this blog? "Sharron has more Facebook Friends so she'd be a better Senator."

Intellectually dishonest again, Jerry. There were never "8" years of republican rule. We had slim majorities for 4 years. Regardless, the rulers, be they R or D, are bankrupting our nation, and usurping our liberty. Is Obama promulgating that or ending it? It is my belief that the current regime is driving us toward the tyranny of the benevolent state, at warp speed (cause they know November is coming and by next January their power will have waned).

Give credit were credit is due. The 'D's are ramming through their agenda, because they know it's unpopular (with a free people) and they are making the most of their opportunity. If only the R's had the same sense of urgency back in '02.
