California high school student decommits to Utah, joins UNLV
Defensive end/tight end Jeremiah Valoaga of Channel Islands High School in Oxnard, Calif., chose to play football at UNLV after decommitting to Utah.
He said he didn't want to grayshirt at Utah, which would've meant joining the team in 2013.
"I liked how the coaches were real close to the players and they will let me in school right away instead of waiting," Valoaga said.
Valoaga (6 feet 7 inches, 215 pounds) also was offered scholarships by Hawaii and Idaho. He visited UNLV, Utah and Idaho.
UNLV will bring him in at defensive end, but Valoaga said it was possible he could switch to tight end at some point.

Membership has it's priveleges.
Utah is on the verge of finishing in the Top 25 for the best recruiting class in the history of the school.
Amazing the talent that will come when you add BCS to your portfolio.
Yes, Utah offered this recruit a chance to walk on and gray shirt, but with all the talent Utah is signing, he would have never played in Salt Lake. So good pick up for the Rebels, but this was not a Rebel steal away from the Utes.
Beware of the Utes....

Utah is waaaay out of it's league in the Pac-12. They will collect paychecks, but they'll never compete for a league title.
