ENTERTAINMENT: Waiting a bit longer to 'Believe'
Cirque du Soleil announced this morning that the debut of “Criss Angel — Believe” will be pushed back two weeks.Ticketed previews that were to begin on Sept. 1 now will begin Sept. 12. The private party to mark the “official” debut has been pushed from Sept. 12 to Oct. 9.
Spokeswoman Anita Nelving says technical delays made the cast about five weeks late moving into the custom theater at the Luxor from an off-Strip warehouse.
The move will affect 14 shows that already were on sale. Early birds, mostly from Angel’s fan club, will be given corresponding seats at other performances or get refunds if they can’t be in town on the new night. Anyone holding tickets should call 1-800-557-7428.

NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!!!!!!!
Angel Believe will be a joke. I'll punch him if he opens late. hahahahahahahaha
Changes like this shouldn't affect us locals who have tickets, but it's not really fair to those who have already booked travel plans that cannot be changed without penalties or a total loss of their money.
I didn't really BELIEVE this thing would come off without something going goofy...I have (had) and excellent seat and tic price thru CIRQUE FAN CLUB that
worthless now. Hmmm, what to do with
Sept. 10th now. Maybe I'll call Norm and ask if he'd like to come over and watch some old "I Dream of Jeannie"
reruns...camera illusions are camera illusions right?

I think the delay will be worth it to all Criss Angel fans. He's just making sure things are going to run smoothly and that everyone that goes to his show is going to get their moneys worth. He strikes me as being a perfectionist and likes no flaws in anything that he does. Which is why Criss Angel is amazing to watch. He adores his fans and would go to any lengths to make sure that everyone is happy with what they see. I think when people see this show they will fully understand why it has taken a little longer to put together and it will most definately be worth the extra wait.

Jenny,

Yeah let me tell you about my moneys worth: It is costing me over $700.00 more now because he cancelled. Since he wants his Loyals to be happy, Do you think he will reimburse me? Some people are not as lucky as him and don't have money to flush down the toilet.

I agree. When...'IF' I try to book BELIEVE again, my price will DOUBLE. I have read (and LUXOR is clueless to this...) that members of his fan club will be offered same seat replacements on another date, but if you can't make it on that date...sorry.
I haven't heard of CIRQUE offering anything other than a refund from LUXOR.
I called LUXOR the other day to insure my refund, then told 'em to let it ride.
The gal I spoke to said there was a chance the Show might get back on schedule and thats why my tic hadn't been refunded already...yeah, right.
It still just amazes me that CIRQUE would even be involved with Chris Angel in Las Vegas...talk about gambling!

Get the refunds while you can and run for the hills... This show will have a real short shelf life...
Criss is messing with the media and that spells problems. Luxor and the Cir people can't get their duckies in a row after two years of planning??
He is a perfectionist?? Hmmm... I see him as a control freak who will not like being caged in by the circus people.

I received tickets for my birthday, June 30th for BELIEVE. I have found out that if I go to the box office at the LUXOR and get new tickets for BELIEVE that I will not get the fantastic seats and may be charged double! I am so unhappy about this. It would have been my very first time to see Chris. And even being a local has no pull.
