Institute weighs in on health district debacle
If you've been unable to find any good local reporting on the Southern Nevada Health District's absurd debacle, destroying perfectly good, locally grown organic food at Quail Harbor Farm in Overton back in October -- refusing to even let it be fed to the pigs -- check out the latest from the Nevada Policy Research Institute.

So Monsanto forgot to pay their extortion money to NPRI and the fake news journal runs a hit piece on them? Funny how you guys pretend to care about the small farmer. What a joke.
Keep watching and informing Vin. Please ignore the rants from the peanut gallery. I like farm to fork events. Used to go to them when I was about 9 years old. Place in Vermont. Goats milk, fresh just picked or pulled vegetables. Meats slaughtered right there. I have watched farm animals give birth and skimmed the cream off the milk. It was actually great even though I would not be able to live that life today, I would hope to do a farm to fork event as it would bring so many of those memories back, thanks.
Thanks again, Vin, for mentioning this. Now, about SB 1867 and the internment of "domestic terrorists"...
Not to be pushy, Vin, but here's some help from Judge Andy (the only TV judge I have respect for):

30 people dead because of jensen Cantaloupe farms in Colorado.
Jensen Farms in Colorado is a large regional producer. It is not a local organic grower like Quail Harbor in Overton.
Even though Jenson is a large regional grower the FDA had never even inspected them.
From the denver post:
Jensen never came under a federal inspection before the August outbreak of listeria.

This is a completly different issue and changes nothing about the ability of the inspectors to make on the spot decisions which in the case of Quail Harbor were all wrong and in the case of Jensen never happened until after the food killed people. Given the info I will support Quail Harbor over those under the scrutiny Jensen had(none at all)

Keep up the good work, Vin!
How in Heaven's Name did we ever get this far gone!?!
Just because we live in the age of high tech-nology does not mean we must lose our high touch humanity. Government would do well to remember to that we are endowed with certain inalienable rights by our Health District ... oops! has someone forgotten who works for whom. Maybe so. Seems so.
May our Creator bless you ... and the Overton farmers.

Thursday Ralston grills the health district. Vin I think you were first on this and you took heat for it. I say again, thank you sir! Keep it up.
So it was the meat? I see no meat being dumped in that garbage can.
That woman on Ralston did no favors for the health district. A mystery food preparedness problem that could cause botulism and death.
I am unimpressed.
