YOUR WEEKEND: PUMA scramble to bring a little attitude to golf
Sports brand PUMA promises to bring a little attitude to golf when it hosts its scramble tournament May 29 at Rhodes Ranch Golf Club, 20 Rhodes Ranch Parkway.
The PUMA Open is a nontraditional golf event where teams of four compete in a nine-whole scramble. After the golf round, golfers will play a series of Las Vegas-style card games. The afternoon includes dinner, beverages and snacks. LPGA Tour Pro Erica Blasberg will also attend to play and offer golf advice. The PUMA Open will visit 15 cities this year with the goal to shake up the traditional-minded sport.
Registration fee is $300 per foursome and is open to men and women 21 and older. To register, visit www.thepumaopen.com.
