The Metropolitan Police Department today announced the procedure for patients of several medical clinics linked to the hepatitis C outbreak to retrieve their medical records. Starting Monday, patients can complete written request forms at any of the department's seven substations. A photo ID will be required, and department officials ask patients to wait to make their requests unless they need them for an emergency.
The Police Department seized thousands of records last week from six medical offices as part of a criminal investigation into the disease outbreak. The offices include the Endoscopy Center of Southern Nevada, the Desert Shadow Endoscopy Center and six locations of the Gastroenterology Center of Nevada.
