Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas to open mid-December
Tools
The CEO of the new $3.9 billion Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas casino says it will open in mid-December with about one-third of its rooms delayed until July 2011.
It is likely to be the last major new casino-resort likely to open on the struggling Strip for at least a few years.
Cosmopolitan CEO John Unwin said the hotel's amenities, including 13 restaurants, a spa, nightclub, 150,000 square feet of meeting and convention space and retail stores, would open in mid-December with the casino and the bulk of its 2,995 rooms.

Back in 1970's when we were going through the high gas shortage and drop in revenue, the Las Vegas convention authority and the hotel owners step up back to lower the hotel rooms rates and step out to California with cheap bus and air rates packages.
Forget about huge profits now and get back to customers service, cheap room rates that will give value to Las Vegas again.
Plus back to dollar black jack and 99cent breakfasts, with great customer service.
