Las Vegas Chamber Preview to focus on downtown, economy

Downtown redevelopment and economic diversification are the topics of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce's annual economic forum event, Preview, which runs 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Thomas & Mack Center.

University of Toronto professor Richard Florida, author of urban development treatises "Rise of the Creative Class" and "The Great Reset," is headlining the event. Tickets are $60 for members; $80 for others. Call 641-5822 or go to www.lvchamber.com.

    "The economy's still bad, but things are getting better. Now is the time to buy real estate because things can't get much worse, but that means opportunity for those with the foresight to spend $60-$80 dollars for events like these. Vegas is down but it's still the best place to be, just like we've been saying for the past 4 "Preview" events"... There... I just saved you from attending and wasting 4 hours of your life because that's exactly what you're going to hear.
