Station Casinos Inc. kicks off a multi- million-dollar marketing campaign today with an advertising blitz that includes ads during the Super Bowl, which airs at 3 p.m. on KVVU, Channel 5, in Las Vegas.

The campaign, which includes ads in the Las Vegas Review-Journal, is titled "We Love Locals" and will feature five ads during today's football game.

"We looked at the Super Bowl as a very compelling, unique advertising opportunity," said Kevin Kelley, chief operating officer at Station Casinos. "With the game's huge (ratings), we thought this was the best way to launch the campaign."

Kelly said Station Casinos, which expects to emerge from bankruptcy this year, would begin airing 30-second commercials on almost every station in Las Vegas. He declined to disclose the cost of the Super Bowl commercials.

Over the next 22 days, Station Casinos will air 10 different commercials.

Todd Brown, general sales manager with KVVU, said a 30-second commercial during the Super Bowl costs $72,000.

One of the five commercials features more than a dozen employees singing the Beatles classic "All You Need is Love."

The company expects to emerge from bankruptcy with a more manageable debt level of about $2 billion. Station Casinos filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in July 2009, owing almost $6 billion.

Kelley expected the company to benefit in the long run by going back to what it has always done best, which is superior customer service, better promotions and increased operational enhancements such as looser slots.

"At the end of the day, we have to put the bankruptcy issue behind us," Kelley said. "This is about looking toward the future."

You have to pity people that will make up stories to post about Station Casinos..................... ........................Is that why Stations tried to buyout all the competition and fight any new competition (Roadhouse Casino on Boulder hiway) so they can lower the paytables on their poker machines? Is that why Stations tried to outosurce their cafes to Cocos, thereby eliminating jobs and benefits for their longtime employees? Is that why Stations announces the hiring of over 1000 new employees yet, only half of them are full time? Stations proclaims to love locals? Apparently they have an unusual way of showing their love.

I hit over $3,200 at Texas in January....my offers and comps are still coming and are better than they were prior to me hitting... not sure why they would not want to try and get you back to their casinos to spend some of what you won, it makes no sense.

These ads are brilliant: simple, fun, upbeat, sincere, and well-made. I think Station Casinos will find it well worth every penny they've spent on this campaign, even for Super Bowl time slots!

So this supposedly bankrupt company, that has already screwed investors out of MILLIONS, can afford to blow $360,000 on five TV commercials? This is why I dont spend a dime in any Station property...... Irresponsible Mismanagement.

How can a company that has stiffed so many of their creditors and have sucked the wind out of the locals market afford to advertise?

"We Love Locals" Is a flat out lie. I surprised someone has not sued them for it. If are a local and you have had some luck winning they will deny you benefits.

The games in their casinos have gone down hill in the past few years.
I was at the Fiesta a few months ago when some hit a $5 Royal. The next day all the $5 machines GONE. That 20k must have broke the bank !! Very sad...A shell of what it used to be a few years ago

And LOOSER SLOTS !! another LIE . You can find crappy $1 6/5 bonus poker at all the Stations

Stations doesn't like locals if you win. They cut off your mail and don't mail point multipliers or free play if they think you are a consistent winner.
