Sunrise Health System's four facilities have adopted a mobile app that lets doctors read electrocardiographs remotely.

The app lets doctors pull up real-time readings on any mobile device and share the results with consulting colleagues, rather than congregate at bedside or rely on paper or frozen computer images. The zoom features of a tablet computer or phone allow doctors to spot minor irregularities in cardiac function, according to Sunrise.

The app, called AirStrip Cardiology, is one of an emerging array of programs that have started making inroads into medicine. Because of the critical functions it monitors, it is one of several that have required U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval.

Sunrise Health owns the adjacent Sunrise Hospital and Sunrise Children's Hospital, plus Southern Hills Hospital and Mountain View Hospital.

They should develop an app that would teach their nurses and staff how to speak English- it took me over 45 minutes to find someone I could understand and I am more than sure most could not fully uderstad me... realy frightening.
