HART PERFORMING JACKSON TRIBUTE AT 'PRAISE'
JULY 12, 2 p.m. -- Grammy winner Larry Hart will be performing a tribute to Michael Jackson during in his gospel show "Praise!" at Southpoint Casino.
Hart, a 1979 Grammy winner for best gospel performance contempary or inspirational, will sing Jackson’s favorite song “Stand Strong” from the musical “Sisterella” staged in the 1990s. Hart wrote the book, music and lyrics for “Sisterella,” which was executive-produced and presented by Michael Jackson and Jerry Greenberg and produced by Robert DeNiro. “Praise" is being billed as an “irreverently reverent gospel experience."

ESPN 1100 HOSTS RADIOTHON
JULY 25, Palms Hotel: ESPN Radio 1100 will host “The Longest Radio Show Ever” for the fourth year in a row.
The radiothon will start at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 24.
National and local celebrities in the sports and entertainment industry are donating their time to the cause and will host an hour.
ESPN Radio 1100 listeners and others around the country have the chance to co-host an hour of their choice, by submitting their bid in the online auction.
Bids can be placed by visiting WeAreLV.com and clicking on the ESPN Radio 1100 logo. The online auction will run from Thursday, July 9 to Friday, July 17.
Confirmed celebrities include several UFC fighters, among them are Chuck Liddell, Forrest Griffin, Stephan Bonnar, Amir Sadollah, Brandon Vera, Randy Couture, Rashad Evans, Matt Serra, Arianny and UFC president Dana White. Additional co-hosts include UNLV basketball Coach Lon Kruger, former UNLV basketball Coach Charlie Spoonhour, UNLV head football Coach Mike Sanford.

BACK AT THE BOOTLEGGER
Former Elvis Choir member Kelly Clinton returned to the Bootlegger Bistro on Mondays, this time with an open-mic cabaret show.
Clinton, who hosted celebrity karaoke on Mondays for three-plus years at the nightclub, hopes to turn her show into a weekly showcase for established and upcoming talent.
She was 19 when she was discovered at Frank Link’s Maxim showcase.
“There’s not a lot of places where you can do this now and there’s so many talented people out there,” she said.
Showtime is 9 p.m.
