ESPN 1100 HOSTS RADIOTHON

JULY 25, Palms Hotel: ESPN Radio 1100 will host “The Longest Radio Show Ever” for the fourth year in a row.

The radiothon will start at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 24.

National and local celebrities in the sports and entertainment industry are donating their time to the cause and will host an hour.

ESPN Radio 1100 listeners and others around the country have the chance to co-host an hour of their choice, by submitting their bid in the online auction.

Bids can be placed by visiting WeAreLV.com and clicking on the ESPN Radio 1100 logo. The online auction will run from Thursday, July 9 to Friday, July 17.

BACK AT THE BOOTLEGGER

Former Elvis Choir member Kelly Clinton returned to the Bootlegger Bistro on Mondays, this time with an open-mic cabaret show.

Clinton, who hosted celebrity karaoke on Mondays for three-plus years at the nightclub, hopes to turn her show into a weekly showcase for established and upcoming talent.

She was 19 when she was discovered at Frank Link’s Maxim showcase.

“There’s not a lot of places where you can do this now and there’s so many talented people out there,” she said.

Showtime is 9 p.m.
