Jan. 24 was not like any ordinary day for Jerry Zimmerle. While attending Get Motivated, an event featuring such renowned speakers as Gen. Colin Powell, Rudy Giuliani and Terry Bradshaw, Zimmerle won a new car. The 2012 Toyota Camry was awarded by Findlay Toyota.

"I was completely speechless," said Zimmerle, a business development executive at Absolute Flood Response & Construction. "If you haven't won a car lately, I recommend you try it and make it a 2012 while you're at it."

The event, which took place at the Thomas & Mack Center, drew a crowd of business professionals and, apparently, Zimmerle was the only speechless one. Immediately after he won the award, his phone started ringing off the hook with congratulatory calls and voicemails from people wanting to know what he had just won.

"Thank you to everyone at Get Motivated and Findlay Toyota for a magical, life event. I won't forget how timely the gift appeared in my life and how everyone I know and met is somehow enjoying the experience," Zimmerle said.

Findlay Automotive Group (www.FindlayAuto.com) was founded by the late Pete Findlay in 1961 when he arrived in the Las Vegas Valley from Panaca to open Pete's Used Cars on Boulder Highway. Findlay's son, Cliff Findlay, now spearheads Findlay's 22 dealerships in Nevada, Arizona, Utah and Idaho.
