  • Handbag: It's Coach with denim patchwork. ... Not entirely sure it's the real thing, though. I got it at a purse party.

Are handbags status symbols? For some people yes, but not for myself. I'm not into designer labels. I like to look cute but not at the expense of my wallet. If I saw an expensive bag that might last me years and was high quality I might consider it, but for practical reasons.

What does this bag say about you? That I'm "practically perfect in every way" to quote Mary Poppins.

If someone found your bag and looked inside, what would they think of you? Well, everything's quite neat and in its special pockets, but if you delve to the bottom there's bits of chewing gum wrappers, hair clips, even a personal show G-string that we wear under costumes. So they might think I'm organized, but approachable.

What's the most important item you've ever carried in your bag? My passport on the long flight home to England.

What's the strangest? Underwear that I've worn all day and then just stuffed in my bag when I got to work and put on my costumes. Late night trips to the grocery store can be a problem if you pull out your wallet with your bra attached to it.

Tell us about the first special bag you owned. Probably the little bag I was given when I was 5 years old that hung around my neck and held my money when I was on vacation. It said "naughty but nice" on it. Very appropriate, even now.

Knockoffs: Love 'em or hate 'em? Love 'em! But you shouldn't skimp on quality. Always check for a good zipper; they are the first things to go.

Image is ... important. Confidence with a clean, well put-together outfit and a smile is more important than expensive designer labels.

What's in your bag? 1. My favorite red lipstick, 2. Starbucks mints, 3. Fantasy rehearsal music, 4. Cell phone, 5. English breakfast tea bags, 6. Colgate disposable toothbrushes.
