And, for support, we'll turn to those modern-day philosophers, John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, who sang memorably about the joys of summer love in the movie version of "Grease."

Hey, don't be embarrassed. We've all experienced the joy, and heartbreak, of a summer fling.

The lifeguard pursued to futile effect during the family vacation to the beach. The fellow summer camp counselor who became more than a colleague. The computer camp classmate who looked heartbreakingly cute in the soft glow of the 15-inch monitor.

Maybe it's the self-limiting nature of summer vacation, or the torrid heat or, even, some still-unknown aphrodisiac contained in grape Kool-Aid. But, whatever the reason, summer romances are the stuff of pop music, paperback and cinematic legend.

So here's the deal: We'd love to celebrate this most nostalgic thing about summer by hearing your stories of summer romance. Then, we'd like to share your funniest, sweetest or weirdest real-life experiences in an upcoming Living story and online.
