  • LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS

    The League of Women Voters of Las Vegas Valley will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Main Street Station, 200 N. Main St. Reservations are required by Wednesday. (464-7887)

    GOLF CLUB

    The North Las Vegas Ladies Golf Club plays every Wednesday morning at the North Las Vegas Golf Course, 324 E. Brooks Ave. (646-7180).

    ROTARY CLUB

    The Las Vegas Central Rotary Club meets for lunch at noon Wednesdays at the Las Vegas Country Club, 3000 Joe W. Brown Drive (734-1122).

    KIWANIS CLUB

    The Las Vegas Kiwanis Club meets at 12:15 p.m. Wednesdays at Marie Callender's, 4875 W. Flamingo Road (839-9509).

    LIONS CLUB

    The Summerlin Lions Club meets the first and third Wednesday of each month at IHOP, 9651 Trailwood Drive. The group is open to men and women (254-5245).

    OASIS REBEKAH LODGE

    The Oasis Rebekah Lodge meets at 8 p.m. the first and third Wednesday of each month at 109 Ninth St. (458-5552).

    CLIPPED WINGS

    The Las Vegas Chapter of Clipped Wings will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday. All retired and active United Airline flight attendants may attend. Call for the location (294-8400).

    MILITARY OFFICERS MEETING

    The Southern Nevada chapter of the Military Officers Association of America will have a dinner meeting Thursday at the Plaza, 1 Main St. The social hour will begin at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and a program. Reservations are required. (914-1844)

    ROCK ART ASSOCIATION

    The Southern Nevada Rock Art Association will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Las Vegas Library, 833 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Elaine Holmes and Anne Carter will speak on patterned body anthromorphs in the Pahranagat area of Nevada. The meeting is open to the public (897-7878).

    THE TALL CLUB OF LAS VEGAS

    The Tall Club of Las Vegas meets at 5:30 p.m. Thursdays at the Blue Ox Tavern, 5825 W. Sahara Ave. Those who meet the height requirements of 5 feet, 10 inches for women and 6 feet 2 inches for men can attend (390-8255).

    SONGWRITERS ASSOCIATION

    The Las Vegas Songwriters Association meets at 6:45 p.m. Thursdays at the Cabana Mobile Home Park clubhouse, 5303 E. Twain Ave. (223-7255).

    DEGREE OF POCAHONTAS

    The Nogcus Council No. 305 Degree of Pocahontas meets at 7:30 p.m. the second and fourth Thursdays of the month in the Jaycee Mobile Home Clubhouse, 5805 W. Harmon Ave (889-3929).

    TEN-13 CLUB

    The Las Vegas Ten-13 Club, an organization of retired New York City police officers and others, meets at 7 p.m. the last Thursday of the month at the Italian American Club, 2333 E. Sahara Ave. (436-4862).

    REPUBLICAN WOMEN'S CLUB

    The Southern Hills Republican Women's Club monthly meeting will be June 24 at Revere Golf Club, Buckman's Grille, 2600 Hampton Road, Henderson. The social will begin at 11 a.m. followed by lunch at 11:30. The guest speaker will be Lorraine Hunt-Bono, former lieutenant governor of Nevada. The cost is $20. Prepaid reservations are required by Thursday. (616-0056).

    SENIORS GROUP

    The Society of Single Seniors and Widowed Persons will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Black Bear Diner, 6170 W. Tropicana Ave. (454-1353).
