TASTE OF THE TOWN: Readers looking for favorite things

We're officially into the dog days, so here's an idea that should provide both relief from the heat and potential savings: Haunt those air-conditioned supermarkets, taking your time to browse the aisles to see what's new and novel and find a few bargains (I always find that hanging out by open freezer cases is a good idea). And maybe you'll find some of the things being sought by fellow readers:

Jewel Easter is looking for Food Club's Dunksters Ginger Snaps Cookies in a brown bag, which she used to get at Food City in Bullhead City, Ariz. ...

Russell Sifers wrote on July 16, 2008 11:29 AM: To Karen Jenkins,

VALOMILKS are in all Cracker Barrel Old Country Store restaurants which are located along major highways. Unfortunately the nearest ones to Las Vegas are Kingman, AZ and St. George, UT.

VALOMILKS are also sold online. There are links on the "Where to Find" page at www.VALOMILK.com. Unfortunately again, it is too hot to ship right now so please try them in the fall.
