PLAYER'S EDGE: New Club Coast soon will cover more Boyd casinos

The new Club Coast is here! Members now can earn and redeem points at Gold Coast, Orleans, Suncoast and Sam's Town. According to management, the card soon will cover other Boyd casinos including the Fremont, California, Main Street Station as well as their riverboat properties. Club Coast members earn one point for every dollar coin-in (except on a few 100 percent optimal return video poker games that require $2 to earn a point). Points can be redeemed for either comps (600 points equal $1) or cash (1,000 points equal $1).

The new Club Coast has three tiers. All new members receive a ruby level card. Those earning 20,000 base points within 90 days graduate to sapphire and earn double points every day (for at least six months). Members earning 125,000 base points in 90 days receive an emerald card and earn triple points as well as a host of other benefits that are spelled out in the club's brochure.
