Abigail Williams bringing black metal to The Aruba

    Abigail Williams, the black metal band which takes its name from one of the original accusers during the Salem Witch Trials, is appearing today at The Aruba.

They're nominally a black metal band, though Abigail Williams' sound isn't as monochromatic as that handle might imply.

The group's color palette has shifted over the years, evolving from a straightforward metalcore crunch to heightened symphonic flourishes to a more dense and dark aesthetic.

The group's latest disc, "Becoming," sees the band embracing atmosphere and texture to a greater extent than they have previously.

So, just what have they become?

Suffocating.
