NORM: Oprah summons LV impersonator

Larry Edwards, a longtime Tina Turner impersonator, is over the moon, and his feet won't be touching earth any time soon.

He received a call Tuesday from Oprah Winfrey's producer informing him that he will be among some tribute artists who have been invited to be part of the show Oprah is taping with Turner and Cher.

    PUPPY LOVE

Timing is everything. Ask Alicia Jacobs, KVBC-TV, Channel 3 entertainment reporter.

She was interviewing Donny Osmond in a Flamingo suite on Monday when her cell phone went off.

Osmond immediately recognized the ringtone, put an arm around Jacobs and starting singing her the lyrics of "Puppy Love," his big hit of 1972, when he was 14.

Jacobs, a dog lover, had the ringtone installed to remind her of the nickname of her miniature dachshund, Bojangles, after Sammy Davis Jr.'s classic.

"Skeptical," are you serious? Who told Norm about Alicia Jacobs & Donny Osmond? Like me, & everyone else, I'm guessing Norm saw the the "Puppy Love" thing happen while watching the channel 3 news!
I saw it a couple of times myself, duh...

Dave wrote on April 23, 2008 11:11 AM: I'm surprised Alicia Jacobs got an interview with Donny Osmond. She usually only gets interviews by 'putting out'. Osmond, being the nice Mormon boy he is, couldn't have fell for that - or could he?

Me wrote on April 23, 2008 11:02 AM: Seems rather unprofessional of Alicia Jacobs, to have her cell phone on during an interview.

cassie wrote on April 23, 2008 08:48 AM: About Sarah & her "donation": This is a MAJOR undertaking to clean up her image. Do you ever notice when an actor/performer misbehaves after rehab or a small amount of time out of the public eye, they come back with a donation or some charity work?? This is an old trick, but the mini van types LOVE it, and it usually works really well.

Had she wanted to simply do it out of the goodness of her heart, a public announcement would not be needed. Had this been something she'd done before, quietly, we would say it gets press because of George, but all that time in Las Vegas and she never did this before??? This donation will also bring some attention back to her father and off of her crotch,(labia shots). This was purely for publicity to clean up her image, nothing more.

    Trash never cleans up well.
