That kind of mean spirited personal opinion added to the public record in an off- hand fashion is just plane wrong. I can not imagine our founding fathers going public with such a comment. Yeah, sure they might have thought that kind of thing... but say it for the public record as an aside... never, they had too much honor, self restraint, manners and love of the United States of America for those kinds of comments to be made public. To what end, to what good can that type of adolescent comment help Congress move forward in this time of national challenge? Mr. Reid, do you suppose that sort of comment will help in any fashion with the number of current issues we face? The economy, the war on terrorism, fuel prices, you name your favorite topic Mr. Reid... how has that comment helped us form a united front to solve our common problems? I call you Mr. Reid in full knowledge that the proper honorific for your station is Senator or Majority Leader. Is this the comment of a leader, I think not. We are all still quite confused as to your rather unexplainable support for Mr. Reid. He would be quite amusing as a brain-dead nincompoop in a send-up movie. However, Reid is in a position of responsibility and leadership, which is important for our country's future (and is also quite an embarassment to the US on the international stage). Please do the right thing and send this guy (and his family of tax-payer leaches) packing for the old folks home where he belongs.
