McCarran opens two new additions

The new full body scanner installed at the newly opened C Annex at McCarran Airport can detect weapons and explosives without a pat-down search.



A new wing for the D gates at McCarran Airport opened today.

McCarran International Airport opened two new additions this morning, including 12 new security lanes where Transportation Security Administration officers will use new “whole body imaging” technology to screen passengers.

The new security lanes will allow passengers to move more directly between the ticketing area and the C gates, which are the departure points for most Southwest flights.
