DOUG ELFMAN: The skinny on skin in LV

I know some of you aren't interested in porn stars. But the entire porn industry has completely relocated here for the weekend to put out the AVN Awards -- the Oscars of porn -- and they will dominate virtually the entire nightclub scene.

So if "adult film" stars upset your sensibilities, think about this big news item as a map of places to avoid this weekend. On the other hand, if you are curious:

Most Popular Stories
  • Traffic accident claims life of longtime, successful lawyer
  • TRAFFIC STOP: Shooting accounts conflict
  • One motorcyclist killed, another critically injured in accident
  • THE FACES OF JOBLESSNESS: Family had to get help for first time
  • NORM: Buchanan called 'larger than life'
  • NORM: Marie Osmond, manager battling
  • Nurseries fence out day laborers
  • Second person dies after being restrained by police
  • NORM: Agassi reveals bad vibes with Shields
  • REFUSING THEIR OWN MEDICINE: Vaccination policy spurs legal action

  • • The Adult Entertainment Expo sets up a phalanx of booths where porn players sign autographs, pose for grip-and-grin photos, and sell adult wares. You could also attend seminars, as in the one titled, "Staking Your Claim on the Web Part 3: It's Mine and You Can't Have It! -- Protecting Your Content."

A limited number of tickets are sold on site at the Sands Expo Center, on a first-come first-served basis, for $83 for one day, or $198 for today through Sunday.

    • If you would rather go to the Adult Video News Awards, that's at 9 p.m. Saturday at Mandalay Bay. Tickets cost $122-$260.

    PORN STARGAZING AT CLUBS

    TODAY

    • Porn legend Ron Jeremy does a midnight red carpet at MGM's Studio 54, along with Sunny Lane, plus cast members from movies apparently named "Not Bewitched XXX" and "Not the Bradys XXX."

    • "Sexy starlets" from Vivid Video -- Sunny, Hanna, Savanna, Monique, Nikki and Meggan -- parade through MGM's Tabu after 10 p.m.

    • Porn actress Kayden Kross goes to Pure at Caesars, where DJ AM spins the sounds.

    • Porn star Tera Patrick signs autographs at Lavo at Palazzo 5-7:30 p.m.; $30 admission includes a cocktail and a DVD. Stormy Daniels takes to the red carpet at 11 p.m. at Lavo at Palazzo. This event is called "Operation Tropical Stormy." Clever.

    • Adult film actress Bree Olson heads to Rok Vegas at New York-New York.

    • Not coincidentally, a notable swingers' party by PurrfectLV.com is meeting all weekend in Las Vegas, first at THE Hotel's Mix starting at 10 p.m., followed by a shuttle to a mansion after-party at 2 p.m. On Saturday, that party moves to Asia club at Planet Hollywood. Either night is $100 for couples; $150 for single men; though single "ladies" get in free, of course.

    SATURDAY

    • Tera Patrick returns to Lavo for a red carpet. It's scheduled for 11:30 p.m., but if the AVN Awards run late, it won't start until afterward. Hey Howard Stern fans: Gary "Baba Booey" Dell'Abate is supposed to be there.

    • Porn actresses Kaylani Lei, Jessica Drake, Kirsten Price, Mikayla Mendez and Alektra Blue go to Pure at Caesars.

    • AVN Awards hosts Jenna Haze and Belladonna swing by LAX at Luxor.

    • And Penthouse's 2007 Pet of the Year Heather Vandeven shows at Christian Audigier The Nightclub at Treasure Island, along with Penthouse owner Marc Bell.

If none of that amuses you, the nonporn celebrity appearance at Hard Rock's Body English tonight is Heidi Klum (after 10:30). She'll be giving out some Jordache clothes for some reason.

Fair and Balanced Fred wrote on January 09, 2009 08:37 PM: Remember, this comes to you from the Sands Expo Center headed by ultra-right wing, Zionist nut Sheldon Adelson who wants to get us into a war with Iran and heads the wacko lobbying group "Freedom Watch."

With morbid obesity, polyneuropathy, and on a boatload of narcotics, Sheldon has clearly lost interest in the content of the convention he provides the venue for, but money is money, and Sheldon is a ____ after all.
