Joe C wrote on June 24, 2009 10:26 AM: I always wonder if those with Hispanic/Latino names are here illegally or anchor babies, meaning this death could have been avoided if laws were enforced.

The problem is media will not report these details so others are accused of racial profiling.
Despite the fact the huge vast majority of illegals are Hispanic/Latino and from Mexico.

The tactic of yelling profiling has allowed criminals to hide in plan sight.
This very successful tactic, like anchor babies is used to circumvent immigration laws.
Until media discloses the legal or illegal status. We will always be asking these questions toward the biggest group that is violating our immigration laws; and the problems, crimes that can accompany this issue.

They need a postivie ID on a victim wrote on June 24, 2009 09:35 AM: @VegasSmitty

They need a positive ID before announcing the name of a deceased person. You can't go off a drivers license - whose to say it was the deceased man's license? Or it is even his wallet? Remember the mix up of Whitney Cerak & Laura VanRyn? That happened because they identified the body from a purse that was near her and witnesses statements - and they were all wrong. They didn't perform a scientific identification (DNA or dental records). The families suffered terribly because of a wrong ID. Better to wait and confirm it scientifically then rush and be wrong.

    Your an A@*..

Just maybe, just MAYBE, if it was your family member you would not like to hear it on the news when you are driving home from work, etc..

VegasSmitty wrote on June 24, 2009 08:57 AM: I guess its hard for Metro to identify someone, especially id there drivers license is in there wallet.
