Librarian assistant faces sex charges

A Cheyenne High School librarian assistant was arrested Sunday after she was discovered performing oral sex on a 17-year-old boy at the campus, according to a police report.

Donna Washburne, 47, remained jailed Monday evening at the Clark County Detention Center.

    • She faces one charge of sexual misconduct with a student and one count of commission of a sexual act in public. She was being held on $6,000 bail.

    The incident occurred in the back seat of Washburne's car, which was parked near portable trailers on Cheyenne's campus at 3200 W. Alexander Road, near Simmons Street, in North Las Vegas, the police report said.

    An officer with the Clark County School District spotted Washburne's Pontiac Vibe near the trailers and approached. The officer saw Washburne performing oral sex on the teen, who is a senior at College of Southern Nevada High School, according to the report.

    The boy told the officer Washburne had called him earlier that day and asked him whether he wanted to hang out together, the report said. The boy said Washburne picked him up and drove him to the school, where they both got into the back seat, the report said.

    The boy told the officer Washburne then asked him whether he wanted her to perform oral sex on him, and he agreed, the report said.

    Washburne told the officer she thought the boy was 18 years old, according to the report.

    Washburne is scheduled to appear in court this morning.

I grew up normally, and have a wife of 20+ years and two great kids. The REALITY is that MOST young boys would LOVE to have this happen to them. That is the truth. Don't think so, as ANY non gay teenage boy and be "shocked!" Get over it people, and grow up. I'm not advocating this, but it can happen and it is NOT necessarily going to kill a teenage boy. Adults can be so fake!!!

    While Geihs had nothing to do with this incident in particular, it does seem odd that this is NOT the only time Geihs has had a staff member charged with this. The man has the moral integrity of a used car salesman. It is hard to pretend that his lack of ethics has no effect on the caliber of staff members he employs. I left the school and the district because of that evil excuse for a human being. Maybe this is karma's way of telling Geihs not to be such an a--hole. Or maybe he will continue to walk around with his pinky ring heedless of the negativity that hangs on him like those awful suits he wears.
