You are almost right. Voting for the best candidates regardless of party affiliation is the ideal way to go. It doesn't work in the real world because there are NO best candidates. Just look at what kind of crooks, creeps, cronies and clowns we have had to choose from. A good example is next year's NV line up featuring Dingy Harry, Baby Rory, Babs Buckley, Goodyman, Sandavol, Lowden and a bunch of fringe idiots.
