Police seek identity of shooting victim

North Las Vegas police were investigating the shooting death of a man late Friday night.

Police were called about 9 p.m. with a report of shots fired in the 5200 block of Krista Alethea Street, near Camino Al Norte and Washburn Road, said police spokesman Sean Walker.

Officers arrived and found the man in the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Walker said.

Investigators were attempting to identify the victim Saturday. Walker said it didn't appear that the victim lived where the shooting occurred.

There were no reports of any arguments in the area that might have sparked the shooting, Walker said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
