LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL
The U.S. Air Force's Office of Special Investigations raided a central valley gun store Friday afternoon.
Officials would not state the purpose of the raid at the Citadel Gun & Safe, 4305 S. Dean Martin Drive, near Flamingo Road. A Nellis Air Force Base spokesman referred questions to the office's headquarters in Quantico, Va., but said that the raid referred to an "ongoing investigation" on which he could not comment.
The office investigates Air Force and base-related crimes, including property crimes. Las Vegas police and the FBI assisted Friday. Spokesmen for the agencies declined to comment.
Witnesses saw SWAT officers shouting "search warrant" enter the store with guns drawn.
"We saw them break that door down and everything," said Joe Gold, whose Bahama Mamas cigars office sits behind the gun store in the business park off Interstate 15. "They were everywhere here."
Police were seen going in and out of an office behind the gun store that witnesses thought was uninhabited.
A message left with a spokeswoman for the Office of Special Investigations was not returned.

This is raw bait for the knee-jerk, conspiracy nazis even though the "raid" was not "led" by the AFOSI--notwithstanding the reporter's inaccurate characterization. AFOSI was asked to go along because, well, it WAS their investigation and maybe they could identify any stolen Air Force property.
Uh...posse comitatus? I thought they had to let the FBI do this and stay the hell out of it.
@dfatrj.."So what's the difference between what OJ and his friends did to get back stolen property and what the government just did?" Let us count the ways shall we. 1) The government obtained a warrant. O.J. did not. 2) The government is entrusted with the enforcement of laws (ie. investigating allegations of theft). O.J. was not. 3) The government was most likely searching for government property that had been stolen. In other words they were searching for their property. O.J. was not, as all of his memorabilia was the property of the Goldman family in order fulfill the wrongful death civil judgement against him. So, to answer your original question, "So what's the difference between what OJ and his friends did to get back stolen property and what the government just did?" EVERYTHING.
Hmmm. "radical, anti-government crazies" says Jack.Web. Apparently, if one opposes the neo-communist Obama agenda to turn America into a socialist nightmare, where jack-booted government thugs can terrorize private citizens, (not to mention creating ever more government dependent parasites who suck off of those of us who actually produce), then you are a "radical" of some sort.
In which case I plead "guilty" - and more than happy to discuss it in person with those like Mr. Webb...
Now here's something to make all of you radical, anti-government crazies even more paranoid: an article and list of all the various federal law enforcement agencies:

Now, anybody know where I can get a good deal on a hot, Air Force issue, full-auto M-16? I hear it's the weapon of choice for all good baggers protecting our Constitution.
Just like the baggers, I'm no expert on constitutional law, but unlike the baggers, I don't claim to be.
Nor am I an expert on the PCA, but the radical anti-government baggers run around claiming so many things are "unconstitutional", I naturally assumed this was yet another one of those times.
It's safe to assume many of the baggers posting below probably thought it was a constitutional issue, since they believe just about everything is.
Let me share something with you, Allenmcp:
"AFOSI was founded August 1, 1948, at the suggestion of Congress to consolidate investigative activities in the Air Force. Secretary of the Air Force W. Stuart Symington created AFOSI and patterned it after the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). He appointed Special Agent Joseph Carroll, an assistant to FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover, as the first AFOSI commander and charged him with providing independent, unbiased and centrally directed investigations of criminal activity in the Air Force. As of 2007, the AFOSI has 2,900 employees." http://www.osi.andrews.af.mil/
This outfit has been around for a long time. Where have all you whining baggers been for the last 50+ years? It's suddenly a problem now? Pull your heads out.
Mr. Webb, I would gladly share with you a lil' expertise on the Constitution if you'd like but the Posse Comitatus Act isn't actually in the Constitution. It's just a Federal law enacted by Congress.
This is funny stuff. I agree with RIC.I also wonder if the gun store will be running any "Floyd R. Turbo sales"? I'm looking for a good deal on a Glock 23.I can't wait to see the new TV series, "Office of Special Investigations. It'll be on right after NCIS.
Sorry Jack but you are wrong. The OSI is active duty military who investigate crimes committed by other military personnel. They have no jurisdiction off base except over service members. By the way, even if there was stolen base property involved it doesn't mean they can just go vigilante style to get it back. The proper channels of law enforcement are there for a reason.

YES! EXACTLY! THAT'S "NEXT"!
