Tools
A 59-year-old man was gunned down while riding a bicycle Tuesday night in what police believe might have been a random killing.
The man, whose name was not released, had just left an Albertson’s store at a shopping center and was riding east on Vegas Valley Drive near Nellis Boulevard at 9:24 p.m. when he was shot multiple times, according to Las Vegas police.
He was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Homicide Lt. Lew Roberts said the killing appeared to be random. Further details, including suspect information, were not released.
Anyone with information on the fatal shooting is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555 or the Las Vegas police Homicide Section at 828-3521.

I've been tracking the murders and attempted murders in Las Vegas since Jan 1st on a map at
http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF&msa=0&msid=
115754268877111771354.00047c84e310c3e24a800
and if my count is correct there have been 8 murders and 3 attempted murders in the first 13 days this year, not counting the deaths of the shooters who died while committing their crimes.
I've lived here 8 years now and love this town but it has become more violent each and every year.
