Flooding brings closure of Wetlands Park

LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL
The Wetlands Park nature preserve will be closed until at least Saturday due to slight flooding, Clark County officials said today.
Noting that damage to the park has been "minimal," they said the area was closed primarily due to visitor safety concerns and access problems.
More rain is expected this week, and there is the possibility the preserve could be closed longer than Saturday.
Wetlands Park encompasses 2,900 acres and draws 50,000 visitors annually. It is normally open from dawn to dusk every day, according to the county.
