I think you're wrong about the GMC driver being responsible for the accident. This has happened to me many times where I've cleared a lane change or a turn, and then out of the blue, a car comes racing up on my tail. It is people like YOU who tailgate and are the real cause of the accidents.

Are you rushing to your next traffic citation, or just running late for your own funeral?

I couldn't care less whether you wear helmets. You know they protect you. But, don't you dare whine (like all you buffons do) when you get hurt.
And, carry insurance so I don't have to pay for your injuries.

Either way, I'm sorry for the jerk's family and friends. But, take comfort in the fact he didn't kill inocent people

WAKE UP!! our "tax dollars" are wasted on far more important things that rushing someone who doesnt have insurance to the ER..that is just such a ridiculous comment. The government makes us wear seat belts in our cars..but it's legal to ride a bike? hmm.. no seat belts on buses either.. look people, these laws are just more way they find to dig into your wallet and take away your freedoms. Turn off American idol and start paying attention!

once again I live right off a charleston .. pulling in and out is always a challenge with donorcycles because unless i have a speed gun i can not tell how fast he is coming down.. my assumpiton is he is doing the posted 45mph there for i can safely pull out and in at a normal speed and distance... anyone here that can tell how fast a bike i coming by eye sight should become super cop cuz there is no human that can tell speed like that.

You guesed it ...me and you.....

rustynail wrote on November 08, 2009 09:07 PM: whenver i turn into a shopping mall from the opposing lane i tend to look down the street to see if any other vehicle is coming and how fast they are moving. the gmc driver should be held somewhat responsible even if the motorcyle was over the speed limit. probably a very senior citizen.
