Gubernatorial candidate Rory Reid on Thursday reported he raised more than $2.6 million for his campaign last year, including major contributions from gambling and mining industries and labor unions.
The report brings total fund raising for Reid, the only Democratic candidate, to about $3.3 million so far, much more than former federal judge Brian Sandoval, the leading Republican candidate, who has raised a little more than $900,000.
Reid raised at least $50,000 from resort firm MGM Mirage and its properties, $35,000 from Harrah's Entertainment and properties and individuals associated with the company, $50,000 from the Fertitta family and Station Casino entities and $10,000 from Boyd Gaming.
Barrick Goldstrike Mines Inc., of Salt Lake City, Utah gave $10,000 as did Newmont USA Limited of Denver, a subsidiary of Newmont Mining Corporation.
The Clark County Education Association, a teachers union, gave $10,000.

The truth is he voted for them every time, including the latest that even forbids the county posting the contract on-line
