DOUG ELFMAN: Dancing, singing, disrobing -- the Stars are on the Strip

If you're looking for Tuesday's winner of "Dancing With the Stars," champ Donny Osmond and sister Marie (she placed third on "Dancing" in 2007) are indeed playing their usual Flamingo gigs tonight and Saturday night.

Tickets aren't cheap: $103-$135.

  • Vegas has "Dancing" alum all over the Strip, singing, dancing -- or disrobing.

Holly Madison, who aspires to be the new queen of Las Vegas (she was on "Dancing" in March), prances topless in a G-string in "Peepshow" at Planet Hollywood, along with her new breast friend Aubrey O'Day, tonight-Monday ($72-$110).

Wayne Newton, who did "Dancing" in 2007, uses his vocal cords at the Tropicana tonight-Saturday ($92-$114).

And Penn Jillette, who twirled on "Dancing" in 2008, does the talking in Penn & Teller Saturday-Wednesday ($86-$97).

How good are those shows? Review-Journal critic Mike Weatherford has decreed grades of A- to Penn & Teller, B to Donny and Marie and "Peepshow," and C+ to Wayne Newton.

    CROWES SETTLE LAWSUIT

Rich Robinson, guitarist and songwriter for the Black Crowes, tells me his band has settled a lawsuit against country singer Gretchen Wilson after accusing her of lifting one of the Crowes' biggest hits.

Check out my interview with Robinson in the back of today's Neon section, where he says:

"Not only was it the same chord structure, the same melody, and a very general theme, but it also seemed like they lifted my guitar tone."

The Crowes play the House of Blues on Sunday ($41-$46).

    WEEKEND PLANNER

Stevie Wonder on Saturday at MGM Grand ($60-$167) ... Vicente Fernandez on Saturday at Mandalay Bay Events Center ($62-$208) ... Kiss on Saturday at the Palms ($175-$275) ... Papa Roach tonight at House of Blues at Mandalay Bay ($36) ... Joe Perry on Saturday at House of Blues ($34-$39) ... Jay Leno tonight-Saturday at Mirage ($92-$114) ... Bill Cosby tonight at Treasure Island ($92-$114) ... Dwight Yoakam on Saturday at Terrible's in Primm ($50-$83).

For all of this weekend's entertainment options, check out today's Neon section, in which Kiss frontman Paul Stanley talks with critic Jason Bracelin ... Weatherford revisits the "kinky sex" of Cirque du Soleil's "Zumanity," my favorite show on the Strip obviously ... and film critic Carol Cling previews big holiday movies.

I had to change my credit card number to get them to stop charging on my card.

Do not give them your credit card number.

WTF wrote on November 27, 2009 03:48 AM: Holly Madison's assets are her T & A. Correction, T & V. Its her PR team & mgmt that made a career out of her being well-known as Hugh Hefner's number one ex-girlfriend. Otherwise she has absolute no talent. She doesn't know how to dance, act, or think on her own.
