You'll have to wait if you were hoping Heidi Fleiss would clean your dirty pooch.
An attempt by the 43-year-old former Hollywood madam to open a dog grooming business in Las Vegas was blocked Wednesday by a District Court judge.
Judge Elizabeth Gonzalez ruled in favor of a motion filed by Jeffery Marvian, who alleged his estranged wife conspired to sell the dog grooming business to Fleiss, violating the couple's ongoing divorce action.
As a result, Fleiss' Dirty Dog grooming shop, located in a Kmart shopping center at Sunset and Sandhill roads, will remain closed pending the divorce proceedings or a until a settlement is reached between Jeffery Marvian and Fleiss.
Nickol Marvian testified at the injunction hearing that she told Fleiss she could not sell the business because of the divorce proceedings. Nickol Marvian added that she hoped to keep the deal secret from her husband, to prevent him from claiming any of the money.
"I told them (Fleiss and a business associate) that I was in the middle of a divorce and that I couldn't keep the business anymore. I had to get rid of it," Nickol Marvian said. "I said I couldn't sell anything. I didn't think that transferring was selling."
Nickol Marvian said Fleiss and her associate agreed to pay for three past-due advertising accounts totaling $3,000 and $6,000 cash; "however they only gave me $3,000 up front."
Nickol Marvian also said Fleiss had threatened and bullied her in text messages. "She basically threatened me (that) she would go to Family Court and try to get my daughter taken away from me and she also wanted all of her money back."
During cross examination by attorney Robert Hill, who represented Fleiss, Nickol Marvian testified she owed $7,000 in rent, which Fleiss paid.
Jeffery Marvian's attorney, Shelley Lubritz, said Fleiss entered into the deal with Nickol Marvian knowing it was wrong.
"Ms. Fleiss' hands are as dirty as the name she wants to put on the business," Lubritz said after the hearing.
She added that her client was open to negotiations to either sell the business to Fleiss or let her run it.
Meanwhile, Lubritz said that she would drop porn star Kendra Jade Rossi from the complaint because she was not with Fleiss and Nickol Marvian when the deal was reached.
