An MGM Resorts International executive on Sunday night made his debut as the star of a TV episode on CBS' "Undercover Boss."

Scott Sibella worked secretly as a roulette dealer, blackjack dealer, front desk clerk and customer service rep. Employees were told he was filming other reality shows.

But he was wearing an unconvincing black wig he put on himself every day! CBS: You can't afford a stylist?

Sibella spoke frankly about MGM minutia. Front desk computers ran super slowly, making guests wait. He said unpleasant things about hotel carpeting. He wasn't thrilled with employees' smoking near the front door. He expressed doubts about raising kids in "adult Disneyland."

Sibella came across as an MGM exec with moral fiber, a red Ferrari and a loving family -- though when he worked, he looked like a deer in the headlights, apologizing awkwardly to roulette players for taking their money.

On Monday, Sibella declined a request for an interview.

So, the episode was dullsville. There was no drama or villain, but Vegas and the hotel were shown in a good light. Handpicked employees came off as sweet, hard workers who care about customers.

One employee identified only as Sandy, a guest services rep, took flowers to nursing homes on her lunch break.

In the final act, Sibella, a University of Nevada, Las Vegas alum in hotel administration, gave props to employees -- Sandy; Donn, a roulette dealer and Vietnam vet; Eddie, a blackjack dealer who rose up thanks to an employment agency; and Angelina, a smiling front desk worker. He gave them free vacations. It pays to know the "undercover" boss.

What cracks me up is I work at the Bellagio and everyone was talking about Scott, being on undercover boss and what he or she saw on what he was doing in the casino. When I was asked what I thought my reply was, unless he is putting cash in my pocket, I could careless what he does or any of the other bosses or executives. The employees are fighting to get raises and some extras from the corporation. However, all we are seeing is all the stuff they are putting into the buildings and nothing into the employees pockets.

Scott Sibella not only has no clue, the look on his son's face when he said he wanted him to do community service was priceless. That kid wanted to hop back into daddy's Ferrari and play on his personal basketball court. And the way his wife and daughter commented on the size of the closet in the hotel room was another indicator of how out of touch those folks are. What a dog and pony show it was.

Nice to hear Alice Cooper was celebrating his anniversary. What with the golf and the concerts for good causes, pretty soon parents will suggest their kids buy his albums.

We still love the Alice Cooper who dreamed up the name for his group based on the idea of “a cute, sweet little girl with a hatchet behind her back.” On my Rockaeology blog at http://bit.ly/iaFRn2 I tell the story behind “School’s Out.” Cooper said, “When we did "School's Out," I knew we had just done the national anthem. I've become the Francis Scott Key of the last day of school… It nailed the experience of being released from an educational institution, that elated feeling of freedom, and kids everywhere got it.”
