Las Vegas man arrested in rental scam

LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL
Steven Patrick Nohrden, 36, of Las Vegas was arrested in connection with a residential rental scam, the Nevada attorney general's office announced Friday.
Nohrden gained access to vacant homes, then falsely claimed that he was authorized to lease the properties to unsuspecting renters, the criminal complaint said.
The renters moved into the homes and made payments to Nohrden between April and August, until the true homeowners discovered people living on their properties without their consent.
Nohrden was booked on two counts each of burglary, theft and obtaining money under false pretenses.
"Las Vegas has a large number of vacant properties which may be checked on infrequently," Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto said in a statement. "It is this office's goal to ensure that these properties do not become targets for opportunistic scams which may harm the true owners of the property as well as the entire neighborhood."

While I feel bad for those who are suffering due to the loss of equity or value of their homes, blaming the Realtors is quite inappropriate. The Realtors did not hold a gun to your head to make you sign fraudulent docs to buy an over priced home based on your "misstated income". The banks did not hold a gun to your head to make you sign for an adjustable loan, the type of loan originally intended only for investors, and despite that fact these type of loans were never meant for the consumer market, but you signed for the loan anyway. You, the buyer, should have done your own research to find out what the property is really worth, and not take the word of someone commissioning upon the impending sale.
Those of you who don't want to take responsibility for their own situation, may I ask you a question: If a $1 pen is for sale and two people want it. One is willing to pay $1 for the pen and the other is willing to pay $1 Million for the pen, what is the pen truly worth? What price should the pen sell for?
So to the point of this piece and the individual mentioned above, this knucklehead was a Licensed Real Estate Broker/Salesperson with an office in LV and ran an unsuccessful campaign for Congress. He even had his own radio show until recently, and I'm guessing he probably used this venue to show off said real estate expertise. As far as his failed Congressional campaign, he still owes at least one vendor thousands of dollars from his failed political foree. Do you think those people will ever get their fiduciary due?
Perhaps the same time he passes his next Ethics Exam...
Most realtors should be in jail anyway for mortgage fraud.
There is a lot more to this guys Story, check out his Face Book Page, he was running as a Republican for Congress, he was an expert at forging Fake Green Cards and False Social Security Cards. He has Fake ID's in the name of our Vice President Joe Biden, not to mention he was supported by Sarah Palin and Glen Beck. Fox News made him out to be an American Hero he appeared on both of their shows, but then again Fox news from Rupert Murdoch on down cater to crazies, crooks, and morons, spill their Anit- American crap to anyone that lacks the education to know better. Glad to hear that one of them is finished, now if only the Attorney General can put an end to the Banks and the other crazy supporter of Fox news and the RepubliTards.

Edit headline: "Realtor arrested for...", because Nohrden has a NV real estate license!
What about Konstantinos A. Kouris, a known Con Man who rented out bank owned units at the Meridian Private Residences, which were not his to rent out. Kouris & his girlfriend Lyudmyla Radchenko ripped off people from all over this country & world. The LVMPD were given documentation showing this, but did nothing. People who Kouris rented to over the internet were locked out of their units, which they rented at the Meridian during their stay and still the Police did nothing! Kouris has ripped off an investor for $400,000.00 cash, money that was supposed to be used for purchasing units at the Meridian for the investor, but Kouris just took the money and has refused to return it! Kouris owned & operated Travel Link Unlimited an unlicensed Travel & vacation home rental company, which also provided limo service and entertainment for clients. Kouris is & has been involved in a fraudulent bankruptcy, a bankruptcy which clearly shows he has knowingly committed mortgage fraud multiple times! Bottom line: Kouris makes the guy in the above story look like a saint. If, someone decides to pursue Mr. Kouris & his criminal activities they should certainly include the following people in their investigation: Emma Samson, Helen Zabotkine, Alex Wong, George Kouris, & Socrates Garay for starters. In my humble opinion Mr. Konstantinos A. Kouris deserves to be behind bars where he can't scam any more people.
Most Realtors have similar standards. They helped destroy the economy. And, now that economy is destroyed, they destroy it further by not lobbying for loan modifications (to preserve homeownership), but push short sales so they can make another commission. No ethics.
Give him a B- for ingenuity...An A+ for stupidity and publicly flog him !
