North Las Vegas police arrested a 20-year-old man Tuesday in connection with a double shooting that left one man dead and another man wounded.

Terhain Woods was arrested about 3:10 a.m. on charges of murder with a deadly weapon and attempted murder with a deadly weapon.

Police accused Woods of shooting and killing Quincy Lavelle Hill, 31, and injuring another man Sunday night in the 2600 block of Ward Street, near Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Police said Woods and Hill were among a small group of friends at a backyard gathering when a fight broke out. Gunfire followed, police said.

Hill died at University Medical Center. He was shot in the head and the pelvis.

Anyone with information was urged to call the North Las Vegas Police Department at 633-9111 or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.

Wait for it....his defense will be "They 'dissed me, I had to take them out". And he will find some shyster to argue that point, and blame it on culture and upbringing. It's not a defense. It's not even a good excuse. Hope he enjoys meeting some real tough guys in the joint.

I mean really, look at this guy's mugshot. Does the word "dimwit" apply? I wonder about where he was on the night Betty Pinkney was killed?

Come on folks, he was just starting to turn his life around. If he is indeed found guilty of this crime his cRap CD will go platinum. Now that he has achieved street cred he will be revered in the Hip-Hop community.
